AMERICAN Castings’ location — in the heart of America in Pryor, Oklahoma — can accommodate themost demanding delivery schedules. Located within the Mid-America Industrial Park, the plant has easyaccess to Interstate 40 and Interstate 44. The plant is situated on 90 acres, with 433,000 square feetunder roof. The foundry has 35-plus years of experience producing castings from 100 pounds to 3500pounds. From the receipt of raw material to the final inspectionof your product, AMERICAN Castings uses a certifiedquality assurance system to ensure the casting meets orexceeds the mutually agreed upon quality standard.

Our state-of-the-art Metallurgical and Sand Laboratoryprovides us the ability to perform spectrographic andtensile tests in-house, assuring our customers of immediatecertification of chemical and physical properties.

Melting

AMERICAN Castings' modern electric MeltingDepartment uses three 23-ton ABB induction furnacesand three 30-ton ABB holding furnaces. This combinationof melting and holding allows AMERICAN Castings toproduce an extremely clean base iron with the consistentphysical and chemical properties necessary to meet thestringent metallurgical requirements of our customers.Each metal treatment is carefully inspected to verify theintegrity of the iron poured into the mold.

AMERICAN Castings' Automated Core Room is capableof producing cores in weights ranging from 5 to 1200pounds in volumes that match our molding capabilities.Processes include shell, ISOCURE® and no-bake coremaking. Our Automatic Cold Box Process includes bothhorizontally and vertically parted core equipment. Ourwide variety of core equipment provides a uniqueopportunity for customers wishing to relocate existingpattern equipment.

AMERICAN Castings uses robotic grinding centers thatcan accommodate castings weighing up to 2000pounds, regardless of shape. The grinding centershave universal clamping fixtures for setup flexibility.Customers receive the value of precise, uniform resultsachieved cost efficiently on state-of-the-art, automatedequipment.

AMERICAN Castings' in-house Pattern Shop providesinitial pattern setup, gating, risering and repairs.

Our pattern inspection procedure ensures patterns arein top condition, dimensionally stable and ready tomold.

ValueAddedServices

We offer anionic electrocoating for castings up to 2000pounds. The overhead primer line uses PowerCron®primer meeting 240-hour salt-spray testing requirements.

Secondary machining and assembly is available througha group of approved outside associates.

AMERICAN Castings' unique molding capabilities makeit one of the most versatile foundries in the world. Thecombination of Horizontal Green Sand and AutomaticNo-Bake Molding Lines allow our customers to reducetheir supply base by bringing complete projects to onelocation.

For medium to high volume castings (30-1000 pounds)we use a green sand unit (42" x 72" x 24"/24").

For low to medium volume, larger castings (500-3500pounds) we offer our Automatic No-Bake Molding Line(120" x 60" x 19"/19").
