Top Management of the CompanyAs a founder promoter of Ambuja Cement he was the Chief Executive & Managing Director of the Company since its inception in April 1983 till January 2006. Mr. Narotam Sekhsaria relinquished the post of Managing Director and was appointed as Non-executive Vice Chairman when the management control was transferred to Holcim. In September 2009, he was appointed as Non-executive Chairman after Mr. Suresh Neotia relinquished the post of Chairman

In the year 2009, he was made Business Head of West & South region. Mr. Kapur was elevated to the post of CEO in May, 2012 and as the Dy. Managing Director and CEO w.e.f. 1st August, 2013. Effective April 25, 2014, Board of Directors appointed Ajay Kapur as the Managing Director & CEO of Ambuja Cements Ltd.

Counter Market Strategie Ambuja Cements Ltd, has launched Ambuja Plus, a cement product on

17th September 2014, in the State of Gujarat. The product is created with an 'advanced' formula and offers 20% more strength than ordinary cement. Ambuja Plus is aimed primarily at small consumers andindividual

house builders. Ambuja Cement has reported a 26% year-on-year increase in stand-alone

net profit for the second-quarter of 2014, led by increase in sales and other income. The company posted a second-quarter stand-alone net profit.

Future Plan Of Ambuja Plant in India

Ambuja Cements to set up three new plants It is setting up three 1.5Mt/yr capacity Greenfield cement plants in Rajasthan,

Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh. Ambuja Cements is investing US$581m for setting up the three new plants in 2014. The company is also adding 0.8Mt/yr of clinker capacity in West Bengal and Rajasthan.
