Introduction

• Angiosperms-Flowering plants• They first appeared during the cretaceous

Period, around 135 million years ago• Said all came from a plant called phyla• Flowering plants were first made on land and

over time they populated• The wind was a major roll in this part• The flowers quickly populated and dominated

the earth• For a time all land on earth was surrounded in

a vast jungle

Flowers and Fruits

• Flowers are the environment and the bed of angiosperms

• Flowers have an amazing ability to attract bees and animals there fore making their ability to reproduce greater

• They have that advantage to plants

• They also have an advantage by getting eaten by other animals and by the time they get past their digestive system, they would have already been dropped or past on to another animal there fore spreading through out the land.

Diversity of Angiosperms

• They are an incredibly diverse group of flowers

• There are over 500 ways to classify a flower

• Basically with all the crossed flowers with genes from other flowers there is a numerous amount of new flowers being made

• Its all a big part of evolution

Monocots and Dicots

• There are two classes angiosperms

• Monocotyledon • Dicotyledonous• They are all classified by

their number of seeds• Also they are classified by

their cotyledons in a plant embryo

• Monocots have one seed and Dicots have two

• There are many other differences between them for example its like comparing a women and a man

• The women is more gentle and soft and a man is dark and tough Dicots have pedals and leafs and roots. Monocots include corn, wheat, orchids, lilies ,and palms

Woody and Herbaceous

• They can be classified into two groups

• One of the most important and noticeable stem parts is the wood

• They are woody plants with

Annuals

• They include many garden plants

• These flowers are the household flowers

• Fruit and vegetables

Perennials

• They usually live by a few years

• Asparagus and peonies are very good examples of this

• They die each winter but come back in spring

Biennials

• Its like a tree growing plants• They grow very tall in longer

period of time• In the first year they develop the

basic roots• Second year they develop leaves• And so on
