The way I responded to the prompts, (I think) was more based on how I was feel-ing that particular morning rather than what the certain prompt said. I mean some imag-es and objects came to mind for a second, but the flow of my hand and pencil moved to the rhythm of my feelings. This style found throughout the pieces didn’t really change. My favorite piece would have to be the “Change Myself, Change the World prompt”. I like the “empowerment” feeling of the prompt and the feeling that it gave me when I drew the picture. I also like the color scheme that I used in the prompt (it worked very well with what I was feeling). As for the materials, I would have to say that it would be this very same prompt. I like the freedom paint gives you when your creating the picture and the texture you can create with it. One place I definitely took a risk was in my writing. In one prompt I decided to writes a newspaper story, which I had no clue how to do, but did it anyway. It was kind of hard to stay with the subject and make a good argument. As for the subject itself, it was about wild fire and how it was affecting out state. I didn’t really know a lot about the subject, but what I did know I decided to exaggerate. Another thing that I am always known for is my bold, solid line quality. I never really like to disconnect the lines and go over them more than once (unless its for tex-ture). I like the flow found in the lines, and the way it leads our eyes throughout the composition. I feel like this is evident is almost all the prompt pictures. I love the way it flows like a wave. As for the ideas present in the compositions, they did have an “impact” on the idea. What I mean by that is that the compositions took the idea and made it into a deeper feeling for the viewer with the use of the line quality and the color schemes. But in terms of the ideas, they never stayed the same. There was always some element of the prompt contained within the picture. For example, the first prompt was about think-ing and when you look at my composition for that particular prompts, you will find the words “think” throughout the piece. I find that every picture has some literal element of the prompt contained inside it, but they all share a similar degree in depth.
