Walks: Alonnah Dray Track: easy, 30 mins one way, gravelled formal surface, ample parking at pontoon, old rock-walled carriageway between two previous jetty sites. Big Hummock: easy, 15 mins return, a timber stepped boardwalk takes you to spectacular panoramic 360 degree views. Cape Queen Elizabeth: moderate, 3 hours return, coastal heathland, spectacular views, Big & Little Lagoon, forty spotted pardalote. Clennettt’s “Top Mill” site: easy, 30 mins return, western side of Coolangatta Rd. Old mill site, vintage machinery, interpretation boards, rainforest and eucalypt. East Cloudy Head: demanding, 4 hours return, 360 degree views, heathlands and birds. Fluted Cape: challenging/steep climbs, 3 hours return, dry forests, whaling history, views to Tasman Peninsula, soaring sea-cliffs, sea-eagles. Grass Point: moderate, 1.5 hours return, coastal walk, suitable for families, mainly flat, whaling history information trail, dry forests, magnificent coastal views. Labillardiere Peninsula: demanding, complete circuit 5 hours. Luggobine circuit: moderate, 1.5 hours, heathlands, exposed coastline, beaches and dry forest, magnificent coastal views. Mavista nature walk: easy, 30 mins return, rainforest, a lovely walk that meanders through a fern glade next to Waterfall Creek, access is off Resolution Rd at Adventure Bay. Mount Mangana: moderate, 1.5 hours return, rainforest, ferns and eucalypt, spectacular panoramic views. the Slide Track: not recommended as track has not been maintained, 6 hours one way, slippery when wet, follows an abandoned timber-getting tramway, rainforest, ferns, eucalypt, spectacular views. Only attempt this walk with the use of the Slide Track map/information leaflet.

Bruny Island ferry times
Access to Bruny Island is by vehicle ferry “the Mirambeena”, the crossing takes about 20 minutes, bookings are not required.
