History of IEA

The Institute of Estate Agents (IEA) was officially

formed on the 5th of October 1998 with the successful

merger of 3 real estate agency bodies. i.e. :

Association of Singapore Realtors (ASR) Association of Singapore Real Estate Agent (ASREA) Society of Singapore Institute of Surveyors and

Valuers Accredited Estate Agent (SOCREA)

regulatory and self-policing measures Have the ability to address and resolve the industry's

Objectives of IEA

Promote and protect the interests of estate agents

Protect the interests of the public who engage the services of IEA members

Aims to represent all estate agents in Singapore Encourage members of the public to engage

agents who are Members of IEA for their real estate services, be it selling, buying, leasing or finding accomodation.


Fiduciary duties of Council & Members

Council Members to work cohesively as a team and to place Institute and members interest above all And Members to place clients’ interest above self

Elected Council members and Members of the Institute are to strictly adhere to the Institute’s Constitution, Code of Conduct & Ethics, And Bye-Laws.
