F.A.S vs. F.A.E. FAS- easily diagnosable at birth, disability is

Usually reaches the brain within seconds. Marijuana users often describe the experience of smoking
marijuana as initially relaxing and mellow, creating a feeling of haziness and light-headedness.
The user's eyes may dilate, causing colors to appear more intense, and other senses may be enhanced. Later, feelings of a paranoia and panic may be felt by the user. The interaction of the THC with the brain is what causes these feelings.
In your brain, there are groups of cannabinoid receptors concentrated in several different places. These cannabinoid receptors have an effect on several mental and physical activities.
THC Continued… It connects to specific sites called
cannibinoid receptors on nerve cells. Cannibinoid receptors are found in the parts of the brain that influences pleasure, memory, thought, concentration, sensory and time perception and coordination.
After you inhale marijuana smoke, its chemicals are distributed throughout the body.
High concentrations of cannabinoid receptors exist in the hippocampus, cerebellum and basal ganglia.

Medical Marijuana Currently medical marijuana is legal in some states for
people who hold a license prescribed by a doctor. These states are: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut ,DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington.
Usually used for many conditions and diseases. Some of these are: cancer, AIDS, glaucoma, nausea, loss of appetite, chronic pain, anxiety, arthritis, multiple sclerosis, ADHD, insomnia, epilepsy, inflammation, migraines, and Crohn's disease. The drug is also used to ease pain and improve quality of life for people who are terminally ill.

Drug Dealing Is an illegal business! Drug dealers are not
your friends! They will do what ever it
takes to make money! They may overcharge a
person or lace the drug with other drugs.
Drug dealers may not be bad people, but they have made a negative life choice.
Living Drug-Free Brainstorm a list of reasons to stay drug
free. Brainstorm how a person can positively
influence others to not use drugs? Brainstorm things to say to people who
are pressuring you into using drugs?
Getting Help Rehabilitation is the process of medical and psychological
treatment for physiological or psychological dependence on a drug or alcohol.
A. Physiological: Occurs when a user develops a chemical need for the drug.
B. Psychological: Develops over time and causes a person to believe that a drug is needed in order to feel good.
Drug treatment centers offer a safe place to withdrawal from drug use.
Different types:A. Outpatient drug-free treatment: Usually does not
include medicines and uses individual or group counseling.B. Short-term treatment: Can include residential therapy,
medicine therapy, or outpatient therapyC. Maintenance therapy: Intended for heroin addicts, and
usually involves medication therapy.D. Therapeutic communities: Residence for drug abusers.
Highly structured programs that can last for 6-12 months.
