05 / 2005-04 / 2007: Field Superintendent (ADDAX Petroleum Nigeria & NNPC). NigeriaField Operations Advisor Offshore (Superintendent) which included Mentoring Nigerian Nationals at OTJ field level that are now currently performing very well in offshore and onshore field support management positions following career promotions. Appointed to a Central Hub spread moored FPSO (VLCC Conversion) operating a multi-field development with an aggressive field SIMOPS programme of development drilling, oil production and export lifting programmes. Process equipment included compression skids for fuel gas, EOR and gas lift Artificial Lift to enhance field production. Regular crude export Offloading using steam driven cargo pumps. The reservoir in this field development although very porous and permeable was heavily faulted and very compartmental in the production pay zones. This required utilising Weatherford smart well completions for sand control and reservoir multi zone selection and zone isolation from producing wells. Expandable Sand Screens (ESS) and Remote Operated Sliding Sleeves (ROSS) proved to be a good technical solution to optimise production from this complex reservoir. Sand production was successfully managed using a standard sand filter skid on problem wells to protect the process and avoid choke wash-out.
