Hackett was inspired by the Vanuatu ritual called land diving and the oxford club of dangerous sports. Then later in 1987 A.J and Henry planned a jump of the Eifel tower. They did that but it was illegal. Hackett then got arrested by the French police but Hackett considered it as favour for inspiration. Then he started jumping all over the world. He then opened his company, by creating a site at Kawarau Bridge in Queenstown.
