how world’s largest youth-led organisation develops the world’s best talent
Essence and progress...
?who we are
We are an international platform for students and recent graduates to discover and develop
their leadership potential.
Based on a fundamental belief that the best way to learn is through doing, AIESEC has institutionalised change since its creation in 1948 by having every level of the global organisation run by young people in fixed
length terms.
This drive towards personal development puts our membership head and shoulders above
their peers.?who we are
our essencewhy we’re here
A.I.E.S.E.C. was originally an acronym for Association Internationale des Étudiants en Sciences Économiques et Commerciales. AIESEC is no longer used as an acronym but simply as the name of the organisation.
WHAT WE ENVISIONPeace and fulfilment of humankind’s
potential.
OUR IMPACTOur international platform enables young people to develop their potential to provide leadership for
a positive impact in society.
Dr. Martin Luther King’s quote below describes well the philosophy of how AIESEC aims to impact the next generation of business leaders through its international exchange and leadership development programmes.
Men often hate each other because they fear each other, they fear each other because they don’t know each other, they don’t know each other because they cannot communicate, they cannot communicate because they are separated.Dr. Martin Luther King

progressour
and where we’re going
engage and develop every young person in the world
AIESEC created its BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) as above in order to drive organisational growth.
It also developed a mid-term ambition for the organisation in 2015 as below.
All AIESEC UK members are encouraged to create their own AIESEC Experience. Through the choices they make they form a bespoke experience around their involvement in the organisation and how they can best develop their abilities. We ask our corporate partners to contribute to the value delivered to the membership during each of the programmes.
Life-long connection
A life-long connection will ensure positive change throughout an AIESEC members life. In this way, AIESEC presents each of its alumni a platform for continuous growth, enabling them to make a constant positive impact on society.
Experiential Leadership Development
The main programmes of the organisation are delivered here. This is the leadership development centre where the members can learn and gain everything from the global leadership network of AIESEC.
Engagement with AIESEC
In this phase, young people are introduced to the world of AIESEC through different engagement channels. They learn about the WHY, HOW and WHAT of AIESEC and it empowers them to pick the path to kick start their AIESEC Experience.

The United Nations has long recognised that the imagination, ideals and energies of young men and women are vital for the continuing development of the societies in which they
live. And since its inception in 1948, AIESEC has contributed to this development by serving
as an agent of positive change through education and cultural exchange.

AIESEC provides any organisation with a fool-proof formula for investing in future talent. Quite simply, the greater involvement any organisation has with AIESEC, the greater practical experience the members get. This results in our partners having very focused engagement with high potential youth, who will ultimately become their leadership pipeline.
AIESEC prides itself on the societal impact it has had over the last 60+ years, as well as the hundreds of thousands of leaders it can call its alumni.
We can’t wait to do more.
