• Food is cheap in Cambodia – Local street vendor costs you about 4,000 –8,000 KHR (~RM4 - RM8) per meal

• Basic restaurant meals costs between 12,000 – 20,000 KHR (RM12 –RM20) per meal

• Must try delicacies – Fish amok, Balut, Lap Khmer (Beef Salad), Lok Lak (Stir fried beef)

• Remork-moto (tuk tuk) • Cyclo - USD 1-3• Moto - around USD 1.5

• Be careful of persistent locals trying to sell you stuff. Politely reject them and leave the scene

• Beware of Tuk Tuk scams – always travel with a friend• Always keep your valuables out of plain sight – pickpocket is common

• Travellers should note that they can be prosecuted under the law of their home country regarding age of consent, even when abroad.

• Should you find yourself in trouble, your first recourse is your embassy, so make a point of writing down the phone number.

• Small bribes remain a common way of getting out of traffic infractions.

• Local street food in Manila – 50 - 150PHP (RM4.40 – RM13)• Meals at fast food chains: 100 – 200 PHP (RM 8 - 16)

• Popular food – Sinangag (Rice dish), Chicharron, Hamonado, Balut, Halo-Halo

• Jeepneys– most convenient at 7 – 10 PHP/ride (~RM1)• Bus – 10 – 20 PHP/ride (~RM1 – 2)• Metro – 10 – 15 PHP/ride (~RM1 – RM1.50)

• Eating and drinking is prohibited on public transport.• Littering in public is an offence punishable by law.

• There are low-cost eateries (like hawkers) that cost less than S$6 (RM 18) per meal

• Popular food – Chilli Crab, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Singapore Laksa

• Get an Ez-Link Card (it is like Touch and Go) as it is cheaper to travel with it• Bus – S$ 0.90 – S$1.80 (RM 2.70 – 5.40)• MRT– Generally S$4 (~RM12)

• Stalls of traditional food, Angkringan, sells cheap food that starts from 6,700 IDR (~RM2) per meal)

• Popular food – Gudeg, Gado – Gado(Salad), Bakso

• Go Jek – The motorcycle version of Uber that could be used to buy yourselves meal or even ride on through the busy streets of Jakarta

• Becak (Pushbike Rickshaws) – A good way to explore the city (Usually 10,000 – 20,000RP per ride (RM3-6)

• Beware of scammers and con artists, especially in tourist areas• Take precautions of snatch theives in urban areas

• Drugs, gambling and pornography are illegal.• If you need to report a crime, head to a police station in respectable dress

with an Indonesian friend or interpreter in tow.

• Various sit down stalls on the side of the road (around 20,000 VND per meal (~RM 3.67)

Popular food – Phở, Banh Mi (Baguette sandwich), Com Tam (Broken Rice)

• Taxis – There are various taxi companies with tampered meter (more expensive!). To be safe, only take cabs from Vinasun (white taxi) and Mai Linh (green taxi).

• Cyclos – Be careful as they may overcharge you. Haggle!• Bus – around 3,500 VND (~RM1)

• Always haggle for price – Sellers have history to overcharge tourist in any sort of services/products given

• Follow the locals when crossing the busy street – walk slowly across as the traffic will avoid you (usually)

• Be careful for pickpockets and shoe polisher/repair in the streets – be vigilant!

• Vietnam immigration can be strict, ensure that you have the proper documentation before arriving in Vietnam

• For a meal on the street consisting of rice, vegetables, and a little meat on a single plate, the price should be anywhere from 30 – 50 THB (~RM3 - 5)

• Big entire meals of street food with a selection of dishes and maybe an entire fish: 60 – 200 THB (RM6 - 20) per person

• Popular food – Tomyam Goong, Som Tam (raw papaya salad), Pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodles), Skewered meat

• Tuk Tuk (Three-wheeled) – Bargain for a ride • Taxi – GrabTaxi (and it’s competitor, Easy Taxi) can be used

• Always haggle for price – Sellers have history to overcharge tourist in any sort of services/products given
