Singapore Youth To Business Forum is a one day event that aims to connect youth leaders with business and thought leaders in Singapore to bring about conversations around pressing global issues with the goal to generate new and actionable ideas to shape a better future.

Each year more than 160 Youth To Business Forums are held throughout AIESEC’s global network. This year’s event will be the 3rd edition of the Singapore Youth To Business Forum.

This application is for all the positions available in the Organising Committee (Directors and Executives) for the upcoming Singapore Youth To Business Forum held on 13th Devember 2014.

General Information

• All students studying in NTU, NUS, SIM and SMU are eligible to apply for positions in the Organising Committee. The positions are open to both AIESEC members and non-AIESEC members.

• The duration of commitment for the roles spans from September to December 2014.

• Minimum 10 working hours per week (more hours closer to the event date) for members in the Organising Committee.

• Organising Committee members are expected to be in Singapore in the month of December for event preparation, execution and review.

Marketing Team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Creating and managing of marketing strategies to attract event participants

• Crafting write-ups and content of promotional materials

• Creating and managing event page and website

• Manage all event social media channels and website

IDEAL PROFILE

• Strong writing and communication skills

• Background in Marketing

• Technical competencies (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)

• Detail-oriented

WHAT DO YOU GAIN?

• Marketing and communication skills (for B2C)

• Practical application of marketing skills and knowledge

Delegate Servicing Team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and track delegate registration for the event

• Handle delegate enquiries and manage delegates’ expectations of event

• Handle on-site registration, delegates and crisis management

• Manage overall delegate experience (pre, during and post event)

IDEAL PROFILE

• Detail-oriented

• Able to multitask and solution-oriented

• Strong service-oriented mindset

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

WHAT DO YOU GAIN?

Operations & Logistics Team

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create functional operational plan, contingency plan and emergency evacuation plan

• Source and secure venue, catering, printing vendor and equipment required for event

• Responsible for on-site event execution, manpower allocation, risk and crisis management

• Coordinate logistic requirements for event

IDEAL PROFILE

• Prior event management experience

• Strong planning and coordinating ability

• Detail-oriented

• Good time and stress management

WHAT DO YOU GAIN?

• Large scale event management experience (~300 attendees)

• Stakeholder management skills and knowledge
