What does the Future hold for the Affordable Care Act?

• Affordable for some, but now not for others• What kinks need to be worked out• Annual fines for those not signed up

How is the Affordable Care Act Affecting us? Suzan Bartee…

• Young adults – What frames how much we value healthcare?

• The employer’s responsibility?

• An interesting perspective

Page 12: Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) By Suzan, Scott, and Pat

Scott’s Perspective

• Where is this 2 trillion going now?• I want to believe this is a positive direction,

but have little faith in our system• People should have a right to affordable

healthcare• People shouldn’t be forced into something • Healthcare is/was out of control

Page 13: Affordable Healthcare Act (ACA) By Suzan, Scott, and Pat

Pat’s Perspective

• Regulated, safer market is better than a market driven solely by profit

• Much like social security, the participation of the masses (especially low risk youth) will make this work
