Adobe Presenter

• Breeze Presenter is now Adobe Presenter

• Adobe Presenter 6.2 for Windows is now available and in use at UMass Boston.

What is Adobe Presenter?

• Adobe Presenter is a server-based hosting system that allows faculty account-holders to convert and upload PowerPoint files to the web, making them available for easy student access.

• And with Audio!

Advantages of Adobe Presenter

• Student does not need PowerPoint application on their PC.

• Presenter can be accessed from any web browser.• Presenter files are much smaller than PowerPoint.• Presenter does not take up space on the Blackboard

Vista server.• Audio is much easier to edit in Presenter.• Presenter has additional capabilities including the use of

assessments.

More Software on my PC?

• No!!

• Once you have an account setup on the UMB Adobe Connect server, you download a plugin.

• Adobe Presenter is now a menu option within MS PowerPoint.

New PowerPoint Menus

More software on Student Computers?

• No!!!

• Students need only a Web Browser, Flash Player, and Speakers or Headphones. If they use Wimba, they will already have Acquired a headset which they can use with Presenter.

Macintosh?

• Students can access Adobe Presenter presentations from any computer.

• You cannot use a Mac to author an Adobe Presenter presentation.
