Adding a Course Cartridge
Click Control Panel
ClickImport Course Cartridge
Click Course Cartridge Catalog
ClickCartridge Catalog
Search for the textbook
Search by Discipline, Title, Author, Publisher, or ISBN to locate the correct textbook.
Results appear at the bottom of the screen. Click on a blue link for more
information.
Contact Information
A new window will appear with
information about the cartridge,
including how to obtain a key to upload the cartridge in Blackboard
Using the contact information provided through
the textbook link, obtain the cartridge key.
Type the key into the text box.
Click Submit
A confirmation message will appear and the
cartridge contents will be present in the
course.
ClickISBN Converter
ISBN
Some ISBNs may need to be converted using an online converter. If an ISBN is searched a message may appear asking for an ISBN conversion.
Click the link to access an easy to use online ISBN converter
Converter message
Type ISBN into the correct box (10 or 13 digits) and
click submit for the conversion
After clicking the link to convert the ISBN number a new web page will open.
Select one of the ISBN numbers and copy it (either right mouse button click it or use ctrl-c to copy the number)
Copy one of the ISBN numbers
With the updated ISBN number, go back to the “Search Cartridge Catalog” web page.
Paste the ISBN number and click
Search
Instructors can download a course cartridge zip
file directly from the publishers website .
Once the file is downloaded, instructors can click
on the “Control Panel” inside Blackboard and then
click “Import Package” to upload the course
cartridge.
