The ACS Athens PTO would like to announce a donation of $100 made to the family of Karen Rath on behalf of the PTO. Karen was an American Embassy parent with two children, Kellin and Jessika, and attended ACS Athens for three years. She was always willing to help in any way she could. The Raths moved home after retiring from the foreign service after the 2013-14 school year. Not long after returning home, Karen was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer and recently passed away. Her family was left with many medical bills because of her extensive treatment. We wanted to honor Karen's family with this donation because of all the time she donated to ACS.  She was a beautiful person and she will be missed terribly.'

Musicians wanted for ACS Athens Parents’ Band

Are you (almost) having a Midlife Crisis? Do you find a motorbike

too dangerous but... you can SING and/or PLAY GUITAR, DRUMS or BASS. We need you!  Instead of “…running all over the town, now….” come ride with us to the tune of “Mustang Sally.” We’ll even provide you with an adventurous way to tell your wife/husband, “You Can Leave Your Hat On”… Rehearsals will be great and the gigs will be few. “We Need You You You…” to join our band and sing the hits of our early years. Back-up vocals are also very welcome so... stop your "shower performances" and don't miss the opportunity to experience the vibes of a real stage. Be part of a soul/rock/disco/funk band of parents from the ACS Athens community. “Let's Get Loud!”… Come join the band and perform the hits of our early years.  Please give me a ring and join in on the fun!  "!Call now! (Joris) 695 181 0075 or Email [email protected]"
