Innovative logistics solution solves university’s grading dilemma

One of the world’s oldest and most prestigious universities with an international campus in Abu

Dhabi and a strong reputation for academic excellence was looking for a service provider capable of

streamlining its operations by reducing examination grading timelines. The university’s tradition-

al process required examination papers submitted by Abu Dhabi students to be delivered by courier

to the main university overseas for grading and then returned to Abu Dhabi for dissemination. The

transit times for the grading process sometimes took up to four weeks and posed severe challeng-

es for students and professors and hampered the ensuing semester’s registration process. To address

these challenges, Agility developed an Examination Management System for the university by de-

veloping an Examination Management System that eliminated the need to send the examination

papers physically overseas. Instead, professors overseas now simply log into the online EMS to grade

Abu Dhabi students’ examination papers. Agility’s EMS permits the administration team in Abu Dha-

bi to have full visibility to the grading process undertaken abroad. This two-way logistics solution

by Agility slashed the grading process from four weeks to just 72 houes. Now, students receive their

grades earlier, giving them more time for registration and ensure availability.

Building chemicals mega-hubs in China

Agility designed and built a manufacturing and logistics hub in Shanghai for a leading provider of

plastics solutions. The 66,000-sqm hub is designed to distribute up to 600,000 tons of plastic poly-

mers imported from the Middle East. Agility designed and owns the hub, which was built to man-

age operations and distribution for our customer’s clients in Asia over the coming decade.Agility is

the exclusive logistics partner for a China mega-hub under development by a leading German con-

sumer brand company. Agility is providing inbound logistics, warehousing of raw material and fi n-

ished goods, production supply and clearance, and outbound logistics. The new hub will allow the

customer to streamline manufacturing in China and position it for growth over the next decade.
