About the Conference In an increasingly computerized world, challenges of sustainable urban development have been among topics of discussion over the years. With the demand to develop existing infrastructure, improve the quality of life, achieve energy efficiency & saving comes a need to develop smart and sustainable cities. This conference brings together academic and industry experts, developers, company executives and stakeholders, scientists and engineers, to bridge the gap between research and industry and address key-issues hindering efficient & Sustainable living and development. Through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), other smart technologies and development strategies, we will be able to build smarter and sustainable cities for our citizens. The main goal of this conference is to facilitate an exchange of ideas and knowledge between experts and policy-makers in hopes of making a change. IEREK, in collaboration with Xiamen University Malaysia, is organizing the 2 nd international conference on "Future Smart Cities to tackle one of the biggest trends today that have been rapidly gaining momentum, this conference will Explore the breadth that is the field of Future Smart Cities. Showcase emerging scientific and technological trends in the field. Identify current research challenges, key-issues, debates and future opportunities. Pinpoint and provide direction for future planning practices. About the Conference

In an increasingly computerized world, challenges of sustainable urban development have been among topics of discussion over the years. With the demand to develop existing

infrastructure, improve the quality of life, achieve energy efficiency & saving comes a need to develop smart and sustainable cities.

This conference brings together academic and industry experts, developers, company executives and stakeholders, scientists and engineers, to bridge the gap between research and
