All Abode kitchen taps use the finest components, from silky smooth valve cartridges to our anti splash aerators at the end of the spout – all are designed to improve the experience of using our taps. These small things might not be immediately noticeable but add up, collectively to make a good design, great.

wATER AERATION

All mixers use spout aerators or flow straighteners to add bubbles to the water leaving your tap. These innovations in fluid technology keep your water flow in a controlled and distinctive pattern and eliminates splash back. Simple ideas, refreshing benefits.

VALVE CARTRIDGES

All Abode car tridge designs are tested for over 200,000 cycles before we will pass them for use within our taps. Why? Well this means that under normal use conditions your tap valves have proven that they will work for many years to come. The kitchen tap is the most used appliance in the kitchen, so valve quality assurance is essential.

FINISHING QUALITY

We use traditional ar tisan hand polishing techniques which ensure perfect blemish free surfaces and crisp edges. Our hand treatment does not end there – we use hand plating for Chrome, Nickel and Bronze plating. Yes we know it is more expensive to do it this way, but it means that the finish is richer, the plating deeper and ultimately more durable.

LUxURY PACKAGING

After taking all this care with the product, we want to ensure they reach you in perfect condition with all the par ts that you will need for a seamless and straightforward installation. Fixing kits and tail pipes (with non return valves where necessary) are provided and designed to seat neatly within a standard 35mm tap hole. If the tap is heavy or tall, we also provide you with a tap stabilisation bracket in the box. We try and think of everything so you don’t have to.

COMPREHENSIVE wARRANTY

Such is our dedication and reputation for quality, we offer a Comprehensive 5 Year Warranty on all our mixer tap products, from our least to most expensive designs. We cover the materials used and valves for 5 years from the date of installation. For more details refer to page 158.

Simply turn the handle control to indicate the type of water supply that you wish to channel through the tap – giving you immediate access to both the domestic supply and then to water filtered through the Abode Aquifier filter cartridge, delivering clear refreshing results.

The flow of cold or filtered water from the tap is adjusted and managed in exactly the same way as you would normally use the tap. When the Swich is turned to the filter setting, you will experience a lower flow of water. This is designed to ensure that the water coming into the filter has sufficient contact time with the activated carbon inside the filter car tridge, housed discreetly under the sink.

Installation is quick and simple. Abode has pioneered the use of push-fit pipe technology for the simple DIY installation of our Swich filtered water diver ter system. Normal domestic water passing over the 5 Micron activated carbon filter reduces chlorine levels and reduces sediment, dir t, dissolved metals and rust resulting in a substantially improved water taste.

When installed this simple device limits your maximum water usage to 6 litres per minute when your tap is operating fully, resulting in a reduction of water usage and therefore your water and heating bills. RAPID FIT TAIL PIPES

Rapid Fit tail pipes have been developed by Abode in conjunction with John Guest International. The range of 600mm long wide bore flexible LLDPE tail pipes and ‘Speedfit’ connection par ts enable the simple DIY installation of all the the monobloc and single lever mixer taps in the Abode range. The rapid fit tail pipes take all the soldering and fiddly plumbing away and leaves a simple and speedy installation process.

The rapid fit tails are available in both 10mm and 12mm connection sizes. Check the icon next to the product when ordering to ensure you have the correct inlet size.

In the unlikely event that you should experience any defect in the materials or workmanship of your new

• Abode sink within 10 years of purchase

• Abode mixer within 5 years of purchase,

the purchaser’s sole remedy shall be the replacement (at the manufacturer’s discretion) of all or any par t of the product that is defective.

For the tap, all working par ts and valves are guaranteed for a period of 5 years from purchase. Decorative surface finishes and O-rings are guaranteed for 1 year from the date of purchase provided that our advice concerning care has been observed and no scouring agents have been used.

This is provided that the sink, mixer or tap has been used for normal domestic purposes and that the care, installation and maintenance instructions have been observed. The warranty extends to the original purchaser only.

All products are designed in accordance with European Water Regulations and are manufactured to WRAS or other applicable European standards. All products should be installed in accordance with WRAS regulations and Local Water Bye Laws. All brass products are manufactured using lower lead brass.
