Notes regarding Shop emergency repairs: 10/26/10-Wednesday

• Contacted B&B Contracting at 8.00 am and asked where they were at with quotes. They apologized and told me that he would drop it off to me within the hour (it has been received).

1. PC200 Excavator $125.00 per hour 2. Track Loader $75.00 per hour 3. End Dump $85.00 per hour 4. Ditch Witch Vic $125.00 per hour 5. Labor $55.00 per hour

• Contacted Dahme’s Construction at 8.00 am and asked them if they were going to respond to our request. Gary Dahme told me that because of the 8th Ave. project, an emergency sewer project in Groton, and a sewer project in Miller they could not commit to anything soon. (3-6 weeks was indicated)

• Contacted Jacob’s Construction at 8.00 am and asked them if they would be interested and if so what their rates and availability would be. Ken Schuh told me that he would call me back that morning. No return call. I phoned again at mid afternoon and asked for Ken Schuh and was told he was on the other line and would call me back. I have not received any return call at this time (3:55 PM)

• I phoned B&B Contracting and asked them their availability for this project. They told me that they would be able to begin this project the first part of next week after the Public Library project was finished, permits, and locates were completed.

• I told them to proceed with the project. The best guess for this issue’s repairs is $15,000 on the good side up to $30.000 for the worst case scenario.
