y I feel so lucky to be able to say ‘I love my job’ and mean it! I began

my photography career as an undergrad at the University of Michigan,

shooting for the student paper. I was hooked instantly, and knew I

had found my life’s work. Initially, I had visions of traipsing through

war zones as a photojournalist. But much to my parents’ relief, I

found my niche shooting weddings, portraits, and other events.

I learned from some of the best in the field before starting my own

studio in 2006, and have quickly become one of the area’s most

sought-after photographers. My work is featured regularly in the

industry’s leading magazines and blogs, and I have been honored

to win some prestigious awards — including PDN’s ‘Top Knots,’

The Knot Magazine’s ‘Best Of,’ an editor’s choice award from Bride’s

Michigan, and Wedding Wire’s ‘Bride’s Choice’ award three years

running.

I grew up in a Jewish home, and still remember the excitement of

my Bat Mitzvah year — getting to dress up and go to those amazing

parties every weekend! That was such a fun time, and I have a blast

getting to capture it today as a photographer. The ritual, the emotion,

the silliness — and moments, moments, moments — it just doesn’t

get old for me. I approach each Bar and Bat Mitzvah I photograph as

an opportunity to create a collection of fresh, modern, images that will

become a treasured archive for your family for generations to come.

This is a fabulous opportunity to really let your child shine, and a wonderful compliment to the more traditional synagogue portraits. We can shoot on-location at my studio, or at another spot of your choice (think parks, downtown, your home — wherever!). The whole family is welcome to join, or we can focus on your child.

Most sessions last around an hour, and once I’ve edited and prepared a gallery, you’ll come into the studio for a viewing.

At this point, I’ll help you decide how you’d like to display your images. I offer a full selection of framing, canvas wraps, and books. Or, you can purchase digital files and let your planner create something amazing for your party.

The lifestyle session can be added to any package for $300, and is already included in the ‘exclusive’ collection.
