How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

The main adverts both link with each other as they show basically the same thing with athletes drinking the product and then excelling in their own sport.

Our ancillary texts are clearly linked with each other as the sponsorship and radio advert are both based on the same sport.

What have you learned from your audience feedback?

-- Aaron Priya Emily Mark

Radio advert

I think the commentators was a really good idea, it worked really well, the background sounds were a good feature to add and its clear understandable, well done!

Was clear and a good idea but when you said that you wanted your target audience to be teens of both genders I think the football commentator wasn’t really a balance.

Even though you had both male and female as commentators I don’t think football was a good sport choice for this because being girl if I heard this on the radio I would really pay attention.

I really liked it, it worked well and sounded professional it was well thought about and you can tell that you had to think lot to come up with this,

• we should have been more aware that we did say the product is for both genders, I think we should have through of a way to put in females a bit more too.

• it was generally a good idea to have a sport themed again• they all linked well• The background noises was a good effect• Out voices were clear and was understandable.

Sponsorship Sequence

Great clear powerful idea, mise-en-sence worked really well, loved the locations made it look professional! Good editing and good music choices

I liked the way it showed the victory and the drink being used so quickly, it kept me intrigued and wanting to know hat happened next, it was goo showing the product at the end too!

Again I think the football idea seemed really focusing on the men more, maybe this drink is only for men, if it isn't I don’t think you have focused on the women as much because being a sponsorship sequence this is what the viewers is going to remember the product by and this being football I think will only relate to males.

Its grown on me well I really liked it, I think it will attract more men then women being after football though, location and choices of shots were great editing worked out really well too! Well done!

• Again I think that we should have made it more for women too, and football wasn’t a good idea for something so short that the public remember our product by

• Our editing worked well• The way we showed victory was good and noticed by all

viewers and liked it.

Advert one-

Basketball (male)

I think it was a good idea how you linked the sports adverts and the sponsorship together, the way the advert had one sport. The editing was done well I loved the heartbeat!

I looovvvedd the heartbeat! I think It was really good to show the dramatic bit of the advert and the editing was really good, the way the actors were all dressed it looked like it was well planned out.

The range f shots were great! The heartbeat and music was well chosen! It applied for one gender and I think that was a good move because if it was two it would have been a lot to take in. well done.

Well done! It worked really well I think it could have been a little shorter it kind of made me a bit bored after a bit because it was kind of predictable, music was a great choice and the heartbeat as an great element!

• Good how we chose one male sport• I think 3 sports would have been to much to fit

in• Everyone loved the heartbeat music in the

background• Editing was good• Mark said that the sequence was a bit

predictable.

Advert Two- running (female)

I like again how you chose to link everything and even the adverts by keeping to one female sport, I like the lighting and power shown in the sports and the skills, I think it was good using people you age for the adverts. Well edited and the mise-en-sence was great! Could have used different music in the two adverts. The locations were great

It think again it was well filmed the range of shots were great! The editing and sound was done with great thought! Locations were great I loved how you used a various selection and this kept me entertained.

I love d the extreme close up when you showed the actors eyes of the drink working so fast, I think that really caught my eye! Great acting within the sport The mise-en-sence was good, again I loved the heartbeat in the background and loved that you still stuck to one male and one female sport.

I liked the filming a great use of shots in this advert better then the first one, I think the music was great I liked how u kept it the same so we know the two adverts are for the same product the links were great and I think this one was much better then the last! The extreme close up of the actors eyes worked really well, the locations were great it shows the time and effort you put into this well done.

• sound was great but could have used different songs in this one

• Great how we linked them together• good range of shots.

How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

We used many new media technologies in our project including DV Cameras, Macs, iMovie and the Internet.

This time we used effects while editing this was new to us and took a lot of time to learn and apply to our work.
