Dean Miller and Shawn Camp to perform at Roger Miller festival concert In conjunction with the eighth Annual Roger Miller Festival, the Roger Miller Museum Board is pleased to announce that this year’s performers at the festival concert will be Dean Miller and Shawn Camp, both singer/song- writers from Nashville, Tennes- see. The concert is scheduled for 7 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Clifford Macklin Audito- rium in Erick. Dean, son of Roger Miller, is no stranger to the festival, and concert goers look forward to his perfor- mance each year. His talent, wit and stage presence is always en- tertaining. Dean performs songs he has written and produced, but he really brings the house down when he sings a few of his dad’s favorite hits, and this year will be no exception. You can always ex- pect a first-class performance from Dean Miller. New to this year’s festival is Shawn Camp. While the name may not be familiar, his songs are. His hit songs include “Two Pina Coladas” recorded by Garth Brooks; “River of Love” recorded by George Strait; “Would You Go With Me” recorded by Josh Turner, and “How Long Gone” re- corded by Brooks and Dunn, just to name a few. Shawn Camp is a bold and distinctive singer, a song- writer who’s provided material for a multitude of singers, and a multi- instrumentalist who’s played with everyone from Alan Jackson to the Osborne Brothers. Camp has toured with Trisha Yearwood, Suzy Bogguss, Alan Jackson, Jerry Reed and the Burch Sisters. It is no stretch to say that Shawn Camp is respected by the best in Music City, and he has the talent, the voice and the looks to back up that well-earned respect. This is a concert you do not want to miss. Tickets are $20.00 and are now on sale at the First American Bank and the Roger Miller Museum in Erick. Tickets may be ordered by credit card by phoning (580) 526- 3833. Festival activities begin at 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
