On proper-motion plates of Kapteyn Area No. 62, Mr:H. G. ScoitBarrett, Second Assistant at the RadclitTe Observatory, has found a star showing considerable variation in brightness. The star has been identified as No. 294 in the D. M. of the Selected Areas (Harvard Annals 101.164), where it appears with the magnitude 16.4, the date of the observation being 1912 June 9.
