Let’ begin from the north... Now we are in Milan

Milan Cathedral is the cathedral church of Milan, dedicated to Saint Mary Nascent.It is a gothic cathedral and it took nearly six centuries to complete. It is the fifth largest cathedral in the world[ and the largest in Italy.

This is Turin...

The Mole Antonelliana is a major landmark building in Turin. It is named after the architect who built it, Alessandro Antonelli. A “mole” is a building of monumental proportions.

And this is Venezia

The Patriarchal Cathedral Basilica of Saint Mark is the cathedral church of Venice.

It is the most famous church of the city and one of the best known examples of Byzantine architecture.

We move to the centre...This is Pisa

The Tower of Pisa is the freestanding bell tower, of Pisa cathedral, known worldwide for its unintended tilt to one side. It is situated behind the cathedral and is the third oldest structure in Pisa's Cathedral Square after the Cathedral and the Baptistery.

And this is Florence

The Basilica of Santa Maria del Fiore is the main church of Florence. The church was begun in 1296 in the gothic style to the design of Arnolfo di Cambio and completed in 1436 with the dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi.

And now we are in the heart of Italy: in Umbria

The Papal Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Orders of friars in Assisi, the city where St. Francis was born and died. The basilica is one of the most important places of Christian pilgrimage in Italy.

Now we move to the South: Apulia, the heel of the boot

This is the Basilica of Santa Croce in Lecce, completed in 1695.

It represents the typical Baroque style in the Lecce area.

And this is Calabria, the tip of the boot

The Bronzi di Riace are two famous full-size Greek bronzes of nude bearded warriors, cast about 460–450 BC.They are housed by the National Museum of the Magna Grecia in Reggio Calabria.

And the islands...Now we are in the largest island:

SicilyThe Valle dei Templi is an archaeological site in Agrigento. It is one of the most outstanding examples of Greater Greece art and architecture, and is one of the main attractions of Sicily as well as a national monument of Italy.

And this is Sardinia

The nuraghe is the main type of ancient megalithic edifice found in Sardinia, developed during the Nuragic Age between 1900-730 BC. Today it has come to be the symbol of Sardinia and of its culture, the Nuragic Civilization.

And last but not least, let’s go back to the centre of Italy... Rome, the capital!

The Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican, commonly known as Saint Peter's Basilica, one of the symbols of Rome.It is a Late Renaissance church located within the Vatican City.

And finally the Colosseum!

The Colosseum, originally the Flavian Amphitheatre, is an elliptical amphiteatre in the centre of Rome.It is the largest amphitheatre ever built in the Roman Empire, made of concrete and stone.
