WHY YOU USE POWERPOINT

Well PowerPoint is a vary useful tool when you need to create a

presentation. By using PowerPoint it can help create a

unique visual for your viewers. PowerPoint has many useful

tools and templates to help you make your presentation

special.

Click the PowerPoint icon in your dock.

If you don’t have it on your dock, click the Launchpad on your dock.

BEGINNING POWERPOINT

The Ribbon is at the top of PowerPoint.

It lets you change font size, style, color.

You can change the spacing and alignment of words.

It also lets you add pictures, shapes, videos, ect.

You can hover your mouse over each button to see what it does.

NAVIGATING THE RIBBON

The theme of your PowerPoint is the setup of what the background will look like.

There are many different themes that you can choose from.

To select a theme, go on your Themes tab.

To change the color of your theme, you go under theme options and select color, and pick your color.

THEMES AND STYLES

To open a new PowerPoint, press Command O, or File Open.

To save a PowerPoint, press Command S, or File Save.

OPENING AND SAVING

To Close PowerPoint, you press Command W, or File Close.

To Print your PowerPoint, press Command P, or File Print.

CLOSING AND PRINTING.

The slide master lets you put the same thing on every slide.

To access the slide master, you go on the top of the screen and hit View, Master, and then Slide Master.

MASTER SLIDE

These are pre-made presentations that you can edit to make your own

You can access these by pressing File, New From Templates, and then Presentations.

POWERPOINT TEMPLATES.

You can access these by going on your Ribbon. To choose a different font, click the down arrow on your font.

To change the size, click the down arrow with the number on it.

To change the color of your text, click the down arrow on the A with an underline.

TEXT- FONTS, COLORS, SIZES

To Insert a Picture you go under the Insert section and click Picture. You can upload a picture with Clip Art, Photo Browser, or a Picture from your file.

You can also insert music by clicking Insert and the Media.

INSERTING PICTURES

To change your background, go under the themes tab, themes option, and the Background.

If you click the down arrow, it will give you your color options.

BACKGROUNDS

To insert a chart, go under the Charts tab and select the chart that you want.

To access Smart Art, you click the SmartArt tab.

CHARTS AND SMARTART

To use animations in PowerPoint, you click the animations tab.

You can choose the animation that you want, and it will show you a preview of it.

ANIMATIONS

To set transitions in between slide, you have to select the transitions tab.

From there you can choose what kind of transition you want for each slide.

When you choose the transtion that you want, it will show you a preview of that transition.

TRANSITIONS

If you have any questions on PowerPoint, you can ask the Help Feature.

To access the Help Feature, you hit the Help tab on the top of the screen.

A drop down menu will occur and you can type you question in the box.
