Bees Marquees’ case study of 2 Indian weddings Our 1 st example is a wedding that started for 400 and rose to 600, on a hotel estate, planned for a series of events over several days, thus making the ‘marquee option’ cheaper than inside a conference venue. That 1 st example comes in at £39K (photos will follow in August 2015), the 2 nd example at £29K, including a covered built floor, basic furniture, stock lining/lighting and toilets etc (power taken from building) event photos included here! You could seat more guests

for dinner by clearing some of

the seating rows right after the

ceremony has finished

Walkway start,

car park end?

Just an idea: pagoda at the

start of the walkway from car

park – looks nicer and also to

relieve the bottleneck

This version contains a lot more than the previous versions but

we kept the price the same by removing the items which we don’t

own, allowing the customer to source them directly (or us to add

back later for an additional fee, if they choose) – toilets,

generators, heating, carpet/lino etc

Page 17: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

The 2nd example is a wedding for 350 guestsAlso over several days, priced at £29K (in the end), including a covered built floor in all guest areas (including a changing area with cubicles), basic furniture, stock lining/lighting and toilets. The following slides are a summary of just some of the design changes; at each stage (we had almost 30 versions here) we’ll listen to your thoughts, requirements, preferences and (if feasible!) will redraw, requote and advise accordingly… we never get bored! Pictures only here – sparing you words & figures but examples of the quotes available

We started looking at the most affordable options to accommodate

the 350 guests (a 12m & a 9m span marquee), in all options shown

setup for a daytime ceremony versus an evening party layout

Page 19: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

The initially suggested more lavish setup took their eye and we

subsequently developed this, with meetings & visits to revise

Page 20: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

The previous layout developed into this (for a while)

Page 21: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings
Page 22: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

Then it developed into this (even with a water feature around the stage)

Page 23: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

Budget considerations kicked in a bit and we reduced 3 main structures to 2

Page 24: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

Which became this

Page 25: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

We tweak it on a familiar map overlay

Page 26: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

We give them some visuals on a familiar photo

background & keep changing until everyone’s happy

Page 27: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings
Page 28: A case study of 2 Indian marquee weddings

Finally, the changes slow, the price is agreed and we hope they don’t

change their mind too many more times!
