10 CREDITS HEALTH

PASSING CAHSEE (EXIT EXAM IN ENGLISH AND MATH). STUDENTS WILL TAKE EXAM IN 10TH GRADE.

9th Grade Plan

Regular or Honors English 9 Depending on middle school grades,

InterCoord. Science or Biology Performing Arts/Music Health/Music

Health is a 1 semester class. Half the students will start in Health and the other half will start with Music. In spring, classes alternate.

Foreign Language Physical Education/Dance/ Sport/Marching Band Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, or Algebra 2)

More information on 9th grade Math Students should have a B or better in middle

school to move on to the next level of Math in 9th grade. For example, students who received a C in Algebra 1 or Geometry in middle school are strongly encouraged to retake the course in 9th grade.

Students who are having difficulty in Algebra/Algebra Readiness as demonstrated by middle school grades and low standardized test scores will be taking an additional period of math called Math Tutorial along with Algebra 1.
