Rather than a touchpad, it's got optical finger navigation -like a touch sensitive mouse nubbin. Unfortunately it's quite small and accuracy is pretty low, but with some practice you can get decent results. It's also got a touch sensitive scroll bar. Holding the N5902 in one hand doesn't let you reach all the keys, but it's perfectly shaped to hold in two hands and type with your thumbs. In a strip along the top it's got media controls and the keys are backlit. automatically coming on when you use it. Lenovo claims a 3 month battery life from two AA batteries . The K 400 just the right size to throw on the coffee table for general HTPC duties. It's got a 10m range, uses two AA batteries and a couple of extra function buttons such as power. It also supports Windows 8, has a miniature USB receiver and comes with a three year warranty. While lightweight the K 400 feels a little plasticy and it's not exactly a pleasure to type on. The small3.5-inch trackpad is decently responsive and supports multi touch and overall it's a very useable HTPC combo. Ignore the RRP and shop around online as it's often sale- otherwise grab one for around $45. Verdict With a 10m range, multi touch trackpad and light weight, this is an effective - if costly- wireless couch keyboard. ** * **

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

• A CD/DVD-ROM reader or burner. • The APC disc is designed for use with

up-to-date browsers (for example, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Firefox).

• The interface included on the APC disc requires a JavaScript-enabled browser.

• An internet connection may be required for online registration of software before use.

• The software packages on the APC disc have different system requirements. Software is included on the discfor Windows XP, Vista, 7 and8.

BEFORE INSTALLING • Check the disc using a virus scanner

complete with the latest antivirus data updates. The DVD was checked before burning, but new viruses are being discovered all the time.

• Back up any important system and data files. It is not recommended that the software contained on these discs be installed on production machines.

• If you have any questions regarding the use of the APC disc, click the 'Help' button at the top of the screen.

USING THE DISC
