EXISTING TREES TO BE RETAINED: Existing trees to remain are to be adequately protected during site works.

CULTIVATION: Prior to spreading topsoil to garden beds and grass areas, cultivate site soil to 150mm depth by mechanical

means.

IRRIGATION: Install an inground automatic class 12 polypipe and drip/emitter irrigation system to all garden beds with an

emitter to each plant. Lay pipework parallel to the contour and commence with a pressure of 235 kpa with pipework to garden

beds where trees, shrubs and groundcovers are to be planted. Supply and install Netafim “Scapeline” tubing with drippers

welded into the interior wall at 300mm intervals. Drippers are to be impregnated with Treflan root inhibitor. Set pipelines 100mm

parallel to the edge of concrete pathways, paved surfaces and the building edge. Spacing between the pipe runs is to be

500mm apart. Pipelines to be connect to 20mm Ø PVC header pipelines and then connected to 25mm Ø HDPE main lines.

Connect the main lines to the controller. Provide in-line filter system at the take off point and at each valve.

Supply and lay sleeve pipes of 90mm Ø UPVC pipes under concrete paths to link irrigation pipe runs. Supply and install a 12

station controller with multiple start times; each with 0-60 minutes timing. Mount the controller in an approved lockable box to a

location determined by the Landscape Contractor and client. Supply and install a disc-mesh filter after the backflow prevention

valve and before the pressure reduction valve. Supply and install a pressure reducing valve compatible to the flow rate and

pressure of the designed irrigation system. Adjust to a maximum of 235 kpa pressure.

Supply and install an airflow valve at the most elevated point of the system and a flush valve at the lowest elevation of the

system.Solenoid valves are to closely match the relevant pipe size and the flow rate. Solenoid valves to have flow control, only

one solenoid valve per controller station are to be wired. Allow for connection of all pipe work tees and junction elbows from the

existing pipe work out of the meter.

TOPSOIL: To garden areas spread imported topsoil to a lightly rolled depth of 150mm layer over cultivated site soil. To

grassed areas spread imported topsoil to lightly rolled depth of 100mm. Imported topsoil to be a 50/50 mix of black sandy loam

and medium textured grey-brown loam, pH range 6-7.

PLANTS AND PLANTING: All plants to be healthy disease-free specimens. Over-excavate all plant holes by at least three

times the pot volume. Spread osmocote fertiliser to each plant hole at the following rates; 300mm ø pots 50gms/Ea, 150mm ø

pots 25 gms/Ea and 100mm ø pots 20gms/Ea . Stake and tie trees by two 2100x32x32 pointed H.W. stakes and large shrubs

with one 1200x25x25 pointed H.W. stake. All ties to be flexible rubber or canvas ties in figure 8" configuration. Immediately

after planting water-in all plants and maintain regular follow-up watering during establishment period.

GRASS: Grassed areas to be sown grass on a prepared seed bed of imported top soil brought to a fine tilth. Soil to finish as a

lightly rolled layer 8mm above adjacent paved surfaces, or plinth board. Separate garden bed and grassed areas by a 100x20

A.C.Q. treated pine plinth board pegged at 1200mm cts. Spread grass seed at the rate of 40gms/m squared. Ensure seed bed

and germinated areas are kept moist during the establishment period.

MULCH: After planting spread shredded pinewood mulch to a depth of 75mm to all garden beds.

MAINTENANCE: Maintain all garden beds in a neat and tidy condition. Regularly water garden beds and grassed areas during

the establishment period and during dry spells. Eradicate any weed growth.

MAINTENANCE OF FUTURE DEVELOPMENT: Mow grass on a regular basis to maintain grass between 50-100mm in height.
