RATIONAL FUNCTIONS
VOCAB The graph of a simple rational
function is called a hyperbola. Graph is made of two symmetrical
parts called branches.
GRAPHING To graph without making a table:1. Sketch in the asymptotes:
x = h and y = k2. Choose two x values on each side
of the vertical asymptote. 3. Plug them in and plot the 4
points.4. Draw in the branches. (Be sure
not to cross the asymptotes!)
