IL PROGETTO

Venice Movie Stars Photography Award è il primo con-corso fotografico dedicato alle immagini scattate in occasione della Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica.

Il premio nasce con l’obiettivo di valorizzare l’opera-to dei fotografi professionisti che raccontano al mon-do, attraverso i loro scatti, le emozioni e i momenti più importanti della Mostra d’Arte Cinematografica di Venezia.

Venice Movie Stars Photography Award is the first pho-tography contest, dedicated to pictures taken at the Venice International Film Festival.

The award was established with the aim of enhan-cing the art of professional photographers reporting all over the world through their pictures, emotions and highlights of the Venice Film Festival.

La Mostra Internazionale d’Arte Cinematografica, nel 2010 alla 67esima edizione, è storicamente il pri-mo festival cinematografico al mondo e ancora oggi uno dei più importanti a livello internazionale. Operatori, critici e appassionati attendono con inte-resse tale appuntamento, ricco di spunti fondamen-tali per le sfere della cultura e dello spettacolo, del-l’arte e del vivere.Lo scorso anno più di 3000 giornalisti, generalisti e di settore provenienti da tutto il mondo, hanno raccon-tato l’evento.

The Venice International Film Festival will live in 2010 its 67th edition; this event has been the first of its kind in the world and still is at present day one of the most internationally well known film festivals. Actors, critics and fans look forward to this event and its stimulating ideas for the entertainment system and art and living in general.Last year more than 3000 journalists, from all over the world, reported the event.

Dal 2006, la nuova categoria premio del pubblico, sviluppata grazie alla collaborazione del portale Re-pubblica.it, permette di coinvolgere chiunque lo de-sideri nella valutazione delle immagini in concorso.Una selezione delle foto più votate dalla giuria uffi-ciale vengono rese disponibili on line a una giuria po-polare. Per la sesta edizione del premio più di 15.000 persone hanno espresso la propria votazione nella galleria di foto presente nel sito di Repubblica.it.

La serata-evento per la consegna dei premi del 6th Venice Movie Stars si è tenuta il giorno 13 novembre 2009 presso il BeSpoke Milano, il salone del lusso e del-l’alta orologeria.Nelle precedenti edizioni del premio, talenti del ca-libro di Raoul Bova, Valeria Golino, Isabella Ferrari, Claudia Gerini, Carlo Verdone (ex componenti di giu-ria), Dante Ferretti, Violante Placido hanno parteci-pato attivamente alle fasi di scrutinio e sono interve-nuti alla cerimonia di premiazione.Un magico momento dove il cinema premia la foto-grafia.

The evening awarding event of the 6th Venice Movie Stars was held on November 13th, 2009 in Milan, the Bespoke exhibition of luxury and haute horlogerie. Dal 2006 le immagini di Venice Movie Stars vengono esposte in una mostra fotografica presso la Casa del Cinema di Villa Borghese a Roma, importante centro di interesse e luogo di aggregazione per chi fa e ama il cinema.

La mostra della sesta edizione del premio è rimasta allestita dal 10 dicembre 2009 al 28 febbraio 2010.
