The following character designs are for “When Taxi met Maxi”, a story that we were provided. We had to follow the pre-production pipeline (storyboard, character design and backgrounds).This story follows the adventures of Guru Paji and Taxi, as they go from being ordinary citizens to saving the day.The following are my designs for the two protagonists of the story - Guru Paji and Taxi.

Internship WorkDuring the months of June and July, I worked as an Inter for 6 weeks at Anibrain Studio in Pune. I was given the task of creating videos for their educational website and YouTube channel - Mocomi.Click on the thumbnails below to view the videos.

Short FilmsThis film I made as a part of my exchange program at the University for the Creative Arts, Farnham, UK.The storyboard for this film is on the following page.

Your Turn Now is about a small boy and his fear of dentists, and how that fear inspires him to get his revenge, later on in life.

Adra machaThis was a group project in which we were given the song and had to set the animate to the beats.This was our first attempt at sand animation.

Tension KnotThis was also a group assignment. This film was the culmination of our course with Prosenjit Sir. In this project, we had to use as many types of animation media as we could. We had to write the lyrics and create the music for it as well. We then recorded the song and designed the animation for it.

Skinny ManThis was one of my first attempts at pixilation. We had cameras and a time limit and had to work with that to create a pixilated short.

The following films were part of a short course in which we had to experiment with animation media, other than traditional hand-drawn animation. Our guide for this course was Mr. Prosenjit Ganguly.

As part of learning the pre-production process, we had to storyboard the trailer for a film based on the story mentioned before - “When Taxi met Maxi”.These are just some of the storyboard panels.

Other Stuff

I have always liked experimenting with different media and styles of presentation.Some of these illustrations were done as assignments, while some of them for pleasure. However, all of them have helped me understand the medium better.

Non-Profit Work

Last year, some friends and I, volunteered help to an NGO, Vibha. Vibha works for the benefit of underprivileged children. In October 2011, Vibha organised a conference, ‘Pragati’. We were asked to design for the cover of the information booklet for this event.This was my design for the cover page of an information booklet.
