TRANSCRIPT
Memories Old and New is pleased to announce the premier exhibition of a new series from American photographer Annie DeCesare. Ms. DeCesare’s photographs in this series
were inspired by her own family’s experience with the decline of heavy industry in her hometown.
Her family had worked the local mines and chemical plants for three generations before automation and changes in American life forced the industry elsewhere. With the local industry went the source of income for thousands of families, but Ms. DeCesare found beauty and an emotional story in the equipment left behind.
