Page 2: 7.9 Presentation

The law created in New Hampshire was created to protect the innocent lives that traval the road every day from distracted drivers.

There have been many cases of casualtiea due to distracted driving.

As new smart phones and computers become easier to use and more convienent, drivers are looking for more ways to do two things at once.

Driving while being distracted by the phone can cause much harm to themselves and other families involved.

Law enforcement is not doing enoughLaw enforcement are not properly regulating the new law put in place.

Many do not believe there is an issue with a cell phone being used while driving.

There is also new applications on phones that can tell when law enforcement is near.

This allows offenders to hide the fact that they are breaking the law.

Statistics of Distracted Driving

There are many different statistics of distracted driving.

A person texting is 23 more times likely to get into a bad car crash than one who is not.

In the last four years, more than 1200 people have died due to distracted driving.

Someone trying to make a phone call is 3 times more likely to get into a car crash than a non-distracted driver

Law

This law discribes a person not able to use the phone for anything, such as making phone calls, using the GPS, tweeting, text messaging, ECT.

The only was for someone to use their phone while in a car is if they use a bluetooth or some other sort of wireless connection.

No one is allowed to use their phone even while the car is parked, such as in traffic, stop sign or stop light.

ConsiquencesThere are few consiquences to using the phone while driving.

There are numerous fines for volators.

If an offender is caught more than twice, more serious action can be taken place.

Page 7: 7.9 Presentation

I believe that if more serious consiquences were given out in the first place, then less people would be willing to be distracted.

Some people do not care about having to pay the fine.

If it were up to me, i would confiscate their lisence until they retake another drivint test.
