TRANSCRIPT
At the onset of the project, the EA's project management staff must be oriented and trained for the project. This is particularly important if the staff members were not involved during the project formulation. The orientation may be conducted with ADB assistance and should cover at least the following:
project goals and objectives; project scope and components; project time schedules; provisions of loan and project agreements; provisions of loan covenants; organization of project management; project costs and funding sources; procurement strategies for goods and services, including ADB’s; procedures and arrangements for working with outside organizations, agencies, and
individuals involved in the project; and economic and social benefits to be derived from the project.
In addition, EA-IA staff members are invited to participate in seminars/workshops on aspects of project implementation that are conducted by ADB at ADB's headquarters in Manila or in the borrowing countries.
