3. SEARCHING IN ONLINE BUSINESS-TO-BUSINESS WHOLESALE SITES

• When it comes to wholesale, there’s no site better than Alibaba. Did you know they’re the biggest eCommerce company in the world?

• These kinds of sites are site is home to literally hundreds of thousands of products

• Alternative B2B product sites include Made-in-China, TradeKey & Global Sources

4. BROWSING TRENDING ITEMS FROM ONLINE MARKETPLACES• Amazon and eBay have a

special section where they display all their hottest products. And by hot, we mean “profit-making”.

• Kickstarter also features some of their most popular projects on Kickstarter Discover which may give you great ideas for your own eCommerce product.

5. PARTICIPATING IN SOCIAL DISCUSSION WEBSITES

• Spend an hour or two taking a look around social discussion sites, its a great way to brainstorm ideas

• Reddit is a great source of ideas. Take a look at subreddits that talk about what the most durable products are today, like Buy It For Life, or subreddits that discuss clever and unique items worth buying, like Shut Up And Take My Money.

• If your first eCommerce product solves people’s problems, then you can bet that it’s going to sell (with proper marketing, of course)

• Spend some time researching what consumers’ pain points are today

• It doesn’t have to be physical pain. It can be frustrations or negative experiences that can be addressed with the right product

• With a little research, you can find out what the biggest influencers in the industry are doing
