Uniform Policy!  STUDENTS ARE TO WEAR:

 Navy blue slacks or shorts (not saggy, oversized or split bottom) or

 Navy blue jumpers, skirts or skorts  Solid white collared shirt/blouse or  Approved spirit/club/class t-shirts on Thursdays only

Uniform Policy Continued…   For PE Classes:

  Grey P.E. t-shirt (including 5K shirts) &

  Red P.E. shorts   Additional Requirements:

  PE shirt does not replace white uniform shirt.

  Jacket/sweatshirt hoods are not to be worn.

  Hats/caps may only be worn outside during inclement weather.

Safety Guidelines… Going To and From School

  Use crosswalks!   Look BOTH ways!   What if no sidewalks

are available?   No playing near train

tracks or flood control channels! Why?

  Avoid walking alone!   Never take a ride

from stranger!   Create a family

code word!   Know your home

information!

Bus Stop Safety  Student behavior should be same as

on the school grounds.  Be there 5 minutes before departure

time.  Line up single file (bodies behind

bodies).  Don’t approach bus until it comes to a

complete stop.

General School Bus Rules!   Stay seated while

moving.   Low voices for safety.   Keep all body parts on

inside of bus.   No eating on the bus.   No profanity.   Be courteous with

words and actions.

Safe School Zone   What is it?

  Any area within 1000 feet of a school

  Any area within 100 feet of designated bus stop

  What does it mean?   Any person who

commits a crime near Safe School Zone is subject to increased penalties.

1)  bringing backpack everyday! 2)  wearing correct uniform, all day, everyday! 3)  bring appropriate school supplies everyday! 4)  being respectful by following the school rules! 5)  making effort to be neat and organized! 6)  completing classwork and homework on time and

to the best of your ability. 7)  asking questions to aid understanding at

appropriate times.

  a backpack, appropriate school supplies and uniform DAILY!

homework.   a book. Read to your son/daughter (or have them read to

you) at least two times a week.   eaten breakfast, fruits and vegetables daily.   been well rested (at least 8 hours of sleep).
