DESCRIPTION

Rotarian John Tabor with the Charlotte Rotary Club documents his trip with 30 Rotarians from District 7680 to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro September 10-15, 2012. The climb was an effort to raise awareness and funds for Rotary International's End Polio Now campaign. Led by Rotarian Macon Dunnagan (Charlotte-South Rotary Club) the climb represented the first time United States Rotarians summited the peak as a group. It is estimated that over $100,000 was raised to eradicate polio as a result of each climbers contributions and efforts to secure sponsors.
