On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Congress of International Phototherapy Association (IPTA-5) we are most pleased to invite you to the IPTA
th st5 on the 19 -21 September, 2013, at the “Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva” Congress Centre, Vilnius Lithuania.
Since year 2006 The Congress of IPTA and has been held every two years in Japan, New Zealand (2008) and Italy (2009, 2011). More information is available by clicking (http://www.jmll.co.jp/ipta/committee.htm). This Congress in Lithuania represents a gathering of the World experts in Phototherapy and Biomedical optics. The Lithuanian Physical Society, Lithuanian association of laser medicine and Laser and light science and technology association (Lithuania) are honored to welcome all of you to this Congress. The Baltic Sea countries support the Congress IPTA-5 by “ScanBalt” network.
Lithuania will take Presidency on European Union in 2013 autumn and warmly meet advanced biomedical optics creators and applicators from each country of the Globe. We hope to establish an outstanding interaction between the delegates in a unique location and an unforgettable atmosphere where friendship, intelligence and scientific know-how are blended.

Main topics
The main subject of IPTA 5- Photodiagnosis & Phototherapy and Biomedical Optics. Our goal is to integrate the basic sciences in to programs of research that explore innovative and creative applications for laser and light technologies as well as contribute to understanding the mechanisms of action so that the applied research is more competent. Therefore the IPTA-5 program will include:
- the State-of-Art in light treatment modalities for health improvement and maintenance in all medical fields;- Clinical science, sport, esthetic medicine and rehabilitation;- the Optical diagnosis at a point of care, spectral data bases management;- the Basics of light and tissue interaction and secondary effects.
The Industrial products and the medical treatment technologies are welcomed to be presented at the Exhibition.

Friday | 20 September | 2013Exhibition and Poster sessions.Scientific program sections: - Biomedical optics, photodiagnosis, endoscopy, health economics;- Dermatology, cosmethology, odontology, ENT, pediatry;- Neurology, endocrinology, rehabilitation, sport medicine;- Urinary, reproductive systems, oncology, flebology and other. Get- together meeting.
Saturday | 21 September | 2013 Exhibition, Poster session.Plenary lectures. Closing ceremony.Gala Dinner. Vilnius Firework festival tickets are also available at an extra fee. More information will be announced soon.
Venue
The conference will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva. The hotel is situated on the bank of the River Neris in the center of Vilnius, only a 10-minute walk to the Old Town.
The official language
The official congress language English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
