Who am I?

Hedgehogs are smalllittle animals thathave quills pointingout of theirback.UnlikePorcupinesHedgehogs do notshoot their quills out.

They are about 7-12inches long & aboutas tall as ateacup.Their skin is adark tan color.

The Early Years

They stay with their mother for 6-7 weeks.They are called hoglets or pups. They areborn blind. The infants are born with quillsunder the skin, like pimples they passafter they have been washed.

Habitat sweet habitat

Hedgehogs live in Deserts,open forests,Hedges (DUH), and near settlements inEurope. They live in burrows or nestsmade from grass or leaves.

What’s on the menu

They eat Beetles, Ants, Termites,Grasshoppers, Moths, Centipedes, Earthworms, and berries.

Making tracks

On the footprint the toes are sharp andsmooth and the hole thing is short. Youwould find them in Deserts, open forests,near hedges or near settlements InEurope.
