The Cayuga Chamber Orchestra continues to explore new ways to serve
our shared community through innovative programming, exciting guest artists, and
new collaborations and partnerships. By expanding our concert season, actively
engaging a more diverse audience, and seeking new avenues to interact with our
existing supporters, we strive to continue earning our place as one of the flagship arts
organizations in the greater Ithaca region.
Our Orchestral Series will delight you with renown soloists such as Shai
WoSner and Jennifer Montone mixed in with rising young stars including guitar-
ist Jordan dodSon. Music by Beethoven, Joan Tower, Schubert, Britten, Fauré and
a brand new work by Christopher Cerrone will showcase the versatility and artistic
reach of the CCO. The family-friendly Holiday Pops concert returns and is included in
the Orchestral Series subscription package.

Shai Wosner Plays Mozart7:30pm / Ford Hall, Ithaca College
MOZ ART: Concerto No. 21 in C Major, K. 467JOAN TOWER: Chamber DanceCHRISTOPHER CERRONE: Dissolving Margins
Sh a i WoSn er , piano
MOZ ART: Symphony No. 41 in C Major, K. 551 ”Jupiter”
Critical acclaim and an ever-growing fan base follow
Shai Wosner everywhere his international career takes
him. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear him play not one, but two concerti! The
Cerrone was completed only months ago, and with his “keen musical mind and deep
musical soul” Wosner’s interpretation of Mozart will leave a lasting impression.
Holiday Pops3:00pm / Kulp Auditorium, Ithaca High School
Enjoy some of our favorite music of the holiday season
as we bring together some of our wonderful collabo-
rators from the past, PLUS the entire Cayuga Chamber
Orchestra! This family-friendly event will feature stu-
dents from Ithaca Talent Education (ITE), The Ithaca
Children & Youth Chorus, our recent Youth Concerto Competition winners and
more. Join us for this very special community celebration.
Uncommon Ensembles3:00pm / First Unitarian Church, Ithaca
BEETHOVEN: String Quintet, Op 29 CASELL A: Serenata, Op 46
Featuring unusual combinations of instruments, this
program begins with a quintet (string quartet plus a
second viola) that shows once again, how very masterful
Beethoven could be. Italian composer Alfredo Casella created a truly delightful work
using the unique combination of violin, cello, clarinet, bassoon, and trumpet.
Family Concert & Storytime4:00pm / Tompkins County Public Library, Ithaca
Celebrating our sixth season, our Family Concert &
Storytime events at TCPL continue to pack the room!
Combining live music, narrated children’s books, and a
chance for children to try out the instruments with the
help of our CCO musicians, we’re enormously pleased
to continue this popular series in partnership with
Tompkins County Public Library. Free admission is made
possible by our generous sponsors (Tompkins County
Public Library and Music Performance Trust Fund).
Fauré in Fall3:00pm / First Unitarian Church, Ithaca
GAUBERT: Trois Aquarelles for Flute, Cello and PianoPROKOFIEV: Sonata for Two Violins, Op 56FAURÉ: Piano Quartet No. 2 in G Minor, Op 45These three works, representing very different styles,
were written within a short 40 year span. Gaubert and
Prokofiev’s pieces have deceptively simple titles for such
intricate works. The Fauré quartet is an especially significant contribution with a slow
movement that is one of the most beautiful ever written by this composer.
La Bohème (semi-staged)7:30pm Sat. and 3:00pm Sun. / Ford Hall, Ithaca College
PUCCINI : La Bohème (concert version)
Co - produC t ion W i t h oper a it h aC a
We collaborate for the very first time with Opera Ithaca,
in a concert version of La Bohème, a tragic love story
that continually draws new fans with every generation.
We won’t need elaborate sets and costumes to transport
you into the world Puccini created with his beloved score. Subscribers have the chance to add this special event to any subscription package
before tickets go on sale to the general public!

They’ll lead our strings in this colorful and evocative program, with students from the
Cornell University Orchestra sharing the stage for the Vaughan Williams.
