40,000 Year Old Mammoth Goes On Display
This Mammoth is said to be one of the most well preserved baby mammoths, despite its age.
The baby mammoth is only one month old and it died in the ice age, and was preserved in the ice for over 40,000 years.
Lyuba, is the name of this baby mammoth. It was discovered by a reindeer herder, in
Siberia, Russia in 2007.
The Mammoth is suppose to be exhibited at a mall in Hong Kong.
The dates this baby mammoth will be on display are from, April 12th to May 10th.
Lyuba is now preserved in special packaging that removes all moisture from its body tissues, so it doesn’t decompose, or mold.
