In this case, a consultant engineer was charged. Wan Manan was alleged to have acted like an approved examiner in

issuing a document dated Jan 15, 2009.

The engineer has disobey the rule that has been set up by BEM without thinking the bad consequences.

5.0 “A Registered Engineer shall conduct himself honourably, responsibly, ethically and lawfully so as to enhance the honour,

reputation and usefulness of the profession”

Responsible engineers involved should not remain silent while getting complaints about unusual vibration during

abseiling session conducted.

Engineers who has knowledge on the structure supposedly should take immediate future action on the complained receive.

Another cause that may lead to the accident is bribery. They may not mention in the public, but there are engineer that has

been charged due to its action giving approval to the document that supposedly not viable.

Unethical problem will cause lots of problem to any kind of project or the person itself

It is necessary for engineers to applied the ethical code and use the code of conduct as guideline

Engineer must understand the dimension and impact of the profession, the need for ethics
