EPCM: Foster-Wheeler, Worley Parsons (FWW).

Total Project Value: approximately $12 Billion

Duration (AGC Scope of Work):

Project Overview:

The Pluto LNG Project was approved for development in July 2007, the project will process gas from the Pluto and Xena offshore gas

fields, located in the Carnarvon Basin about 190 km north-west of Karratha, Western Australia.

Gas will be piped in a 180km trunkline from the offshore wells to the onshore facility, located between the existing North West Shelf

LNG Plant and Dampier Port on the Burrup Peninsula.

Onshore infrastructure comprises a single LNG processing train with a forecast production capacity of 4.3 million tonnes a year.

Storage and loading facilities at the plant include two LNG tanks with a combined capacity of 240,000 m³, three smaller condensate

tanks and an LNG and condensate export jetty.

AGC’s scope of work includes painting and insulation work encompassing Cryogenic insulation and lagging of the LNG train.

The first LNG cargo is estimated for March 2012 with the project to date having generated more than 5000 jobs.
