About 2 Grandview
37 Warranty
From classic upscale and contemporary styles to the
country-inspired look of hand-scraped and wire-brushed
variations, 2 Grandview hardwood flooring helps you create
the perfect emotionally-engaging living space you envision.
Our broad line of five collections includes a diverse range of
textures, tones, colors and appearances—one is sure to meet
the needs of the most discerning designer. All are crafted by
experienced artisans and finished with durable coatings that
will provide many years of enjoyment.
REMEMBER: Our high-quality floors are made from real wood. Just like the trees they are made
from, no two pieces of our flooring are exactly alike—that’s what creates the very essence of
natural beauty that can’t be duplicated by less-realistic printed laminate flooring. It also means
that natural characteristics including mineral streaks, knots and variations in grain are not
considered defects. Those natural variations in wood color along with the limitations of commercial
printing make pictures, samples, and displays appropriate only for reference and comparison—you should expect your installed floor to vary from any samples or pictures shown.

America—a value-priced, wide-plank flooring
that doesn’t scrimp on quality or beauty. The
cross-plies of our engineered flooring design
provide more dimensional stability than solid
wood flooring while retaining the appearance of
a solid floor. The Farmington Collection features
maple, hickory and white oak surfaces that are
today’s favorites of discriminating designers, and
is available in a traditional smooth finish, the
subtle hand-scraped rustic look, or with a

All are premium hardwoods carefully shaped for the look of Hand-Scraped planks. Not only do the subtle undulations of the surface create the aged, worn look being specified by many designers today, the floor gets even more beautiful as the years go by—the dents or dings of daily use only enhance the authentic look of The Farmington Collection.

We designed The Parsonsville Collection to meet
the increasing demand of those who want to
bring more natural beauty into their living spaces.
Also made in America, the special character of
The Parsonsville Collection is achieved by
featuring more of wood’s color variations and
markings—even an occasional naturally-occurring
knot. Designers specify this “character” wood
flooring for use in both rustic and formal settings,
so we make it available in five premium wood
species, including American Cherry and Walnut.

The enhanced wood character and wider boards of The Parsonsville Collection bring out the best in a premium wood species by showcasing more of its uniqueness—just like nature created it. Choose 3-1/4” or 5” width planks in White Oak, Maple, Hickory, American Cherry or even in Walnut in solid or engineered versions. Whichever beauti-ful floor from The Parsonsville Collection you choose, you’ll celebrate real wood at its finest by retaining more of the natural markings put there by Mother Nature.

From the Traditional to our Designer Floors, the
quality is built in—right here in America. 2 Grandview
hardwood flooring specializes in today’s upscale
floors—wide planks, special surface textures and
dramatic woods like hickory and walnut—but even
our standard oak floors get the same care of
manufacture. The Suncrest Collection showcases
nature’s creation by including the wood’s natural
color variations, yet we keep the pricepoint low by
producing it in large volumes as our “standard”
floor. In addition to traditional 2-1/4 “strip” flooring
width, we make The Suncrest Collection available
in engineered versions using offset rotary veneers in
widths up to 5”—upscale features at value prices!

A VARIETY OF APPLICATIONS.
3/4” SOLID:Maple Shown
1/2” ENGINEERED:Maple Shown
All 1/2” flooring has a3mm thick wear layer
SOLID VS.ENGINEEREDFLOORING:
Our SOLID WOOD FLOORS are a nominal 3/4” thick. This traditionally-manufactured type of flooring can be nailed or stapled down in traditional manner. NEVER use a solid wood floor below grade or in any area at risk for moisture. If solid woods are subjected to moisture, they will expand a surprising amount laterally across the face of the grain, and with certainty will result in problems that no manufacturer covers by warranty. ALL buckled wood floors are the result of some type of moisture problem that occurred after the installation.
Our ENGINEERED WOOD FLOORS come in nominal 3/8” and 1/2” thicknesses, depend-ing upon the collection and the specific product you select. Install them with nails, staples or adhesive. While the “engineered” cross-ply construction using layers of woods and adhesives that alternate the direction of the grain are much more stable and moisture resistant than solid wood floors, they are not immune to damage caused by excess mois-ture. In installations below ground level or anywhere there is risk of minor moisture intrusion, it is much safer to utilize an engi-neered wood floor. Wherever you use them, engineered wood floors are your best bet for a long-lasting trouble free application. Since most of our 2 Grandview engineered floors utilize a real sawn wear layer, their appear-ance is virtually identical to that of solid wood floor (some collections utilize offsetrotary and/or rotary-cut veneers). Environ-mentally friendly engineered floors use a smaller amount of our precious hardwoods by allowing other woods to be used belowthe surface.

ABOUT 2 GRANDVIEWHARDWOOD FLOORING
EASED EDGES:Our 2 Grandview prefinished floors have “eased” edges on the sides. Some refer tothis as a “Micro Bevel.” It is simply a slight rounding of the normally sharp corners along each side of each piece of flooring. This process serves the useful purpose ofavoiding tiny unlevel areas that might be felt when you rub your hand across one board to another after it is installed. (Since unfinished floors are sanded AFTER they are installed, they do not have eased edges, because they are sanded level afterinstallation, eliminating the chance of normal machining variations or uneven subfloors causing one piece of flooring to be slightly taller than the one beside it.)
WEAR LAYERS:The engineered versions of 2 Grandview pre-finished floors have a face layer of the actual hardwood specie you specify. 1/2” engi-neered floors have a 3MM “wear layer” and 3/8” versions have a 2MM wear layer. Our floor finishes are so durable they are unlikely to ever need to be sanded and refin-ished, but if they ever do, these thicknessesallow a careful light sanding for job-siterefinishing. Sawn layers are made using special saws to “slice” an actual layer of the specified hardwood and therefore have appearance and grain characteristics exactly like solid wood floor. Some collections
that while still the same beautiful real wood species you have chosen, has a slightlydifferent “look” in the grain structure.
OUR FINISHES:2 Grandview factory finishes are applied using tightly-controlled factory processes that provide a consistent quality that is diffi-cult to accomplish with job site finishing, making them extraordinarily long-wearingand durable. Our multi-step finishing pro-cess fills the grain, applies stains (if spec- ified), and finishes off with one of the strongest, heaviest aluminum-oxide wear surfaces offered anywhere. Each layer is cured in succession using a UV (ultra-violet)process known for creating the very bestdurability.
WHY SPECIFY AFACTORY-FINISHED FLOOR?Although we offer unfinished and prefinishedflooring, the growing use of prefinished is outpacing the growth of site-finished wood floors. The reasons are many. Factory finishes can be applied with more precision under more controllable conditions usingmaterials and processes that are not appli- cable to finishing a floor that has already been
installed. But maybe its biggest advantage is its lower total installed cost. Rather than installing an unfinished floor that has to be protected during a construction project, and then must go through the dusty sandingprocess before filling, staining, and finishing,a prefinished floor allows you to just waituntil the end of the construction or remodel project and install a prefinished floor just like you would carpet, avoiding messy cleanup and mars and scratches that occur during the building process.
MORE THAN FLOORS 2 Grandview prefinished floors are perfect for many non-floor applications. Finish your ceiling with the dramatic look of real wood. Panel or wainscot your walls to bring the beauty of real wood to your vertical surfacesfor yet another designer option. The tongue- and-grooved, end-matched design of our prefinished floors allows almost any appli- cation whether it goes over an existing sur-face or is applied directly to ceiling joists or studs.
Care comes easily when you use products specially formulated for your flooring. Just vacuum or dust mop your 2 Grandview prefinished floors on a regular basis, quickly wipe up spills when they occur, and then routinely clean your floor with our wood floor cleaner. To repair minor surface damage, use our Touch Up Kit.

ECMD DISTRIBUTION IS YOUR COMPLETE SOURCE FOR QUALITY HARDWOOD FLOORING
2 Grandview hardwood floors come with factory-applied finishes that are among the most durable
surfaces anywhere, but even with our broad offering of species, textures and tones, sometimes there’s only one
way to get just exactly the look you want—a custom finish that is applied after the floor is installed.
In addition to 2 Grandview prefinished floors, ECMD Distribution Co. also makes a broad line of standard
unfinished flooring available from our stock inventory in the familiar grades and dimensions. These high-quality
hardwoods are carefully machined but unfinishedfor job site applications and since all job-site finishes
require sanding prior to applying stains or wear coatings, no edge bevel is applied to our unfinished
flooring. Unfinished flooring has no warranty.
