WORLD YOUTH DAY 2019 — PANAMA

We will have between 9 or 11 members of our community representing us together with thousands of young people from all over the world sharing experiences of the Church from the perspective of young people.

This event was organized for the first time, at the initiative of Pope St. John Paul II in 1986 in Rome. Since then every 3 years young people from all corners of the planet con-verge in different cities of the world and celebrate their hopes and dreams.

Please let’s keep our youth in your prayers and help them with generosity of heart.

Blessed Sacrament Parish also wants to THANK YOU, all parishioners whom purchased tamales, patties, tacos, hot dogs, etc. We also want to THANK all people donating their time and effort to help our youth.

This weekend, Father Romel Peñafiel will delight us with his culinary arts, offering it as a collaboration to our young people. Please come to purchase these home-made delights-salchipapas.

We will also have a variety of activities for this purpose such as raffles, and on December 7, 2018 we will have a big Christmas Concert.

All this effort that our young participants do, has the ob-jective of raising funds to meet with Pope Francis in Pana-ma - World Youth Day 2019.

2019 LECTOR’S BOOKS Now we have the Lector’s Books at $15 each, and the com-plement book “At Home With The Word” at $12 each. Please come to the Rectory Office to purchase the book.

PRAYER & LIFE WOKSHOP On Friday, January 25th, 2019 the “Taller de Oracion y Vida”, will start the annual workshop in Spanish inviting this community to attend the 15 week workshop held in the Convent from 6pm to 8pm. This workshop is an oppor -tunity for married couples or single adults to enter into a deeper relationship with Jesus through meditation and re-flective prayer. Please call the parish office and leave your information for Maria Remache.

SWEET SIXTEEN CELEBRATIONS The requirements are:

1. Family must be registered in the parish and be active members (attending with envelopes every week) for at least six (6) months.

2. The child must be baptized, received First Communion and Confirmation, or, be registered in our Faith Formation Program preparing for Confirmation. The child should be part of one of our ministries (Youth Group, Altar Servers, or Children's Choir Group).

3. Parents and child must make an appointment to speak with the Pastor once the two (2) prior requirements are met. Please make sure that you make the arrangements at least three (3) months before the celebration.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in order to maintain this celebration up on going.

2019 MASS BOOK On September 10th, 2018, the Mass Book for 2019 was open. Please stop by the Rectory and book your intentions from Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Please remember that should be one name and one last name per intention per Mass. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.

JORNADA MUNDIAL DE LA JUVENTUD PANAMÁ 2019

Tendremos nueve (9) u once (11) miembros de nuestra co-munidad que estarán representándonos en este encuentro pastoral de millares de jóvenes del mundo entero. Compar-tirán experiencias y vivencias de la Iglesia desde la perspec-tiva de los jóvenes. Como recordamos este evento fue or-ganizado por primera vez, a iniciativa del Papa San Juan Pablo II en 1986 que tuvo lugar en Roma y desde entonces cada 3 años los jóvenes de todos los rincones del planeta convergen en diferentes ciudades del mundo y celebran sus esperanzas y sueños.

Por favor manténganlos en sus oraciones y ayúdenles con corazones generosos.

La Parroquia del Santísimo Sacramento AGRADECE a todos los feligreses que colaboran comprando tamales, em-panadas, tacos, hot dogs, salchi-papas, etc. También AGRADECEMOS a todas las personas que están colabo-rando con su tiempo, esfuerzos para ayudar en este acometi-do.

También tendremos una variedad de actividades para este propósito entre ellas varias rifas y el 7 Diciembre tendre-mos un gran Concierto Navideño, etc.

Este fin de semana Padre Romel Peñafiel nos deleitará con su arte culinario ofreciéndolo como colaboración a nuestros jóvenes. Por favor acérquense a adquirir estos platillos hechos en casa.

Todo este esfuerzo que hacen nuestros jóvenes participantes tiene el objetivo de recaudar fondos para reunirse con el Papa Francisco en la Jornada Mundial de la Juventud 2019 en Panamá.
