Description: This is my HTML web page that I created for a imaginary business. It is for a made up business "Visionary Technique."

Process: This was made using Text Wrangler where I changed and partially wrote the HTML and CSS coding.First, I had to learn what the keys were and how to apply them in the webpage process. Second, I had to learn how to organize the code in an organized manner. Third, I did the coding and fixing mistakes which helped me to gain a grasp on the coding. As well as describe the thought process behind the logo. Lastly, I learned to change colors, fonts, add images, padding, and how to make the page appealing.

Message: This is to attract triathletes who spend time in the water and the road; for those

who want to decrease their times and improve on their technique.

Audience: For triathletes and endurance athletes.

Top thing learned: What goes into making a webpage using HTML.

Color Scheme & color hex: Colors- light blue, lime green. Color hex-

complementary colors. Lime Green hex code: 2ab573; light blue hex code: 25aae1

Title font names & families: The fonts used were Times New Roman & Lucida Fax. Families- Sans-Serif.

Copy fonts: TImes New Roman-Sans Serif.

Changes made to the CSS: Changes that I made to the CSS; the font style and color; the information is my own, the border color is more thick; the title background color is my scheme; and how the body cope looks in color and layout are a little different.

BrochureDescription: This is a 2-sided (Dublex) Brochure.

Process: For this project, I used Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop to crop, change, and delete backgrounds within each image.

The "Visionary Technique" was made using the pen tool and the line tool to create the lines and the boxes.

I used boxes that look pointed and I used outlines to create flow within the brochure. THe images are pointed inward to bring focus to the information on the inside of this brochure as well.

Message: The message is being conveyed that it requires great form with swimming, biking, and running, in order to become a winner within the sport.

Audience: I wanted to create a brochure that had warm colors, reminding everyone of the summer months. But, my target audience is for the youth and upwards to retirement age.

Top thing learned: How to make a brochure.

This is a Analogous color scheme.

Colors: Light blue, Lime, Light yellow, and light green

Title Font: Adobe Hebrew & Myriad Pro.

Visionary

Who We AreHere at Visionary Technique we specialize in creating triathletes. Our experience that we have gained as triathletes has helped us to know what it takes to change an amature into a world champion triathlete.

We have learned that it takes three things: raging passion for the sport, not giving up and perfect form. Having perfect form will not only help to decrease your times, but it will also keep you stong when your mind and body are weak.

Stationary Description: Logo created for a business card with matching letterhead.

Process: Had to first create a logo that I wanted to use. Next, went to Illustrator and Indesign to fit them to a 2 x 3.5 sized business card, used Illustrator for the business card and Indesign for the stationary paper. I had to use a watermark for the stationary with a matching logo letterhead. Next, I had to figure out what colors fit best, how I wanted the image to look, where to place it in hopes of creating flow within the card and paper.

Message: This is to provide a business that critiques individual's swimming and running

form to better their results in the races.

Audience: Endurance athletes.

Top thing learned: Aside from patience, I learned to make a business cards, what size

they need to be, and how to fit an image to the card.

Font: Herculanum regular; script.

Event AdDescription: This is a full-bleed flyer that has a picture from a magazine scanned into the flier.

Process: the first step was to scan a picture from a magazine of our choice. We than had to learn to use Microsoft Word Publisher, figure out the color scheme and how we wanted to organize this project.

Message: the flier is to get people to come clean up a popular running trail that is located on the outskirts of the city. The trail is scattered with trash and broken branches, and looks a lot less beautiful than it should.

Audience: I was trying to attract the attention of those who are in their late 20s to early 40s.

Top things learned: Microsoft Word Publisher

Color Schemes: complimentary. The colors were an off white, dark red accent 3, green, accent 3. There are a lot of reds and greens to go with the picture and grab attention.

Title font name and category: Candara-Slab Serif and Apple Chancery-Creative writing.

Scanned images, sources, original size: Scanned image: it was a picture of a garden. The picture had a wood wheel in it that I cut off without using Photoshop.

Sources: Home and Garden Magazine (2011). 8x11, I believe.

Description: This is a photo of a pile of Sour Apples that represents the fruits of hard work and patience.

Process: I had to find an image that I had taken that would resemble hard work and something that I could use as an inspirtional photo.

I used Adobe Illustrator and put a quote from a Mormon prophet on the page that talks about hard work. Then I had to find the colors that matched with the green apples, yet had enough pop so that the eye can easily read the quote.

When I took this picture, it was a little too dark, so I had to add light to it and get rid of the stickers that were on the apples. After, I had to clean up the apples and get rid of the browns that were present on the apples as well.

Message: On the corner of the page, I drew a ladder using the “pen” tool. This ladder has rungs in pairs of two as symbolic meaning that two is better than one. Working together gets things done more quickly and working with someone else helps to hold the other to a higher standard of work ethic.

Audience: This is for anyone. The demographics are not limited to a certain age group. It is for those who need inspiration in their lives.

Top thing learned: Adobe Illustrator

Color Scheme: Triatic. This has light grey, lime, and green.

MontageDescriptions:

Inspirational montage that is about the Seahawks winning their first Super Bowl. This is using blending and typography.

Process:

1. I sized the image to an 8.5x 11.

2. Used the stadium as the background to show celebration and success.

3. Cut each of the images from their original and pasted them according to how I saw fit.

4. Used the blending tool with 50% opacity to fad the font box, players, and the Seahawk into the background image. Next, I made the Seahawk larger to make it stand out. And made the players proportional to the background image.

5. brought images into focus and photoshopped the people that were in the original background.

6. made the font box, cut the Lombardi Trophy out and pasted it to the end of the quote.

7. This was a project using Photoshop.

Message:

I am a fan of the Seahawks and wanted to show this through creating a montage about their Super Bowl 48 win to focus on the importance of having success.

Audience:

Fans of sports; football to be exact or even fans of the Seattle Seahawks.

Top thing learned:

How to blend images in within images.

Filter/ colorization used & where it was applied:

I chose the background and made it a tad bit more bright, not a lot as it is at night. I decreased some shadows, but I could do much because it would have taken away from the integrity of the image.

LogosDescription:These are 3 logos for the same company, one logo just with the eagle as the "t" and the others are a "t" with more to the title of the business.

Process:

These were created by using the Adobe Illustrator, the direct select tool to create the "T," as well as the pen, and anchor tool. I used three colors to create contrast and make the logo standout. Using the words around the letter helps to create flow within the image and allows the person to look at it longer. The eagle was traced, recolored, and the wings are sharper.

Message:

For those who are interested in biking and running, which make up dualathlons; a popular summer sport.

Audience:anyone interested in endurance races.

Description:A black & white graduate flier to promote a graduation conference.

Process:

I first drew four separate sketches of the flier, than chose the one I liked most and followed the chosen outline. Next, I learned how to use Adobe InDesign so that I could design my outline. The picture of the guy is representation for him calling into his future and setting up plans. The flier itself is mellow, yet it looks professional. The lines along the borders are to make the information stand out more. With the information, that we were given, in the smaller font, it allowed the picture to have more emphasis. The flier starts with creative lettering, than the picture, followed by the information last.

Top 3 things learned:

1. I learned what Adobe InDesign is.

2. How to format a professional flier and make it look appealing.

3. The final thing I learned was how to put white font on a black background.

Tools used: Adobe InDesign

Font and Title:

Title and name: Decorative and Oldstyle

Body Copy and Title: Sans Serif
