20th International Metallurgy and Materials Congress will be be held in Istanbul-Turkey, November 12-14, 2020. The congress venue will be at the TUYAP Fair, Convention and Congress Center in Beylikdüzü.
The congress will be organized by the Training Center of UCTEA - Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers (METEM).
IMMC2020 provides a platform for researchers, scientists, engineers and practitioners around the world to present the latest scientific-technological research results in the industry, share new products and designs, encourage discussions, develop new ideas and partnerships. It also aims to publish The Proceedings of IMMC2020 Congress.
Together with the concurrent international fairs, it is the most comprehensive international event held in Turkey and in the region which embraces a wide spectrum of industrial sectors:
ANKIROS 2020 (15th International Iron-Steel and Foundry Technology, Machinery and Products Trade Fair) and ANNOFER 2020 (14th International Non-Ferrous Metals Technology, Machinery and Products Trade Fair) organized by the Hannover-Messe Ankiros Fair Organization.
11th International Ankiros Foundry Congress and TURKCAST 2020 (9th Foundry Products Trade Fair) organized by the Foundrymen’s Association of Turkey.
In IMMC 2020, the participants will have the opportunity to follow the latest technological developments and results of academic researches. Novel designs and products will also be presented by the companies.In the sessions, high quality scientific/technical papers will be presented by the invited speakers.
20. Uluslararası Metalurji ve Malzeme Kongresi, 12-14 Kasım 2020 tarihleri arasında, TÜYAP Fuar ve Kongre Merkezi Beylikdüzü/İstanbul’da düzenlenecektir.
METEM (Metalurji ve Malzeme Mühendisleri Odası Eğitim Merkezi) tarafından düzenlenen IMMC2020 - Uluslararası Metalurji ve Malzeme Kongresi, sürekli gelişerek tüm sektörü kucaklayan ve bu alanda ülkemizde yapılan en kapsamlı uluslararası etkinliktir.
IMMC2020, dünyanın dört bir yanındaki araştırmacılara, bilim insanlarına, mühendislere ve uygulayıcılara, sektörle ilgili dünyadaki bilimsel-teknolojik en son araştırma sonuçlarını sunmak, yeni ürünlerin ve tasarımları paylaşmak, tartışmaları teşvik etmek, yeni fikirler ve ortaklıklar geliştirmek için bir platform sağlar. Ayrıca, kongre bildirileri kitabı yayınlamayı amaçlar.
Teknik oturumlarda, uzmanlar tarafından sunulacak çağrılı bildirilere de yer verilecektir.

MESSAGE OF CHAIR
Dear colleagues,
On behalf of the organizing committee it is my great pleasure to welcome you in Istanbul, for the 20th International Metallurgy and Materials Congress (IMMC’2020).
The congress is organized and held by the invitation of the Training Center (METEM) of the UCTEA-Turkish Chamber of Metallurgical and Materials Engineers (12-14 November 2020, TUYAP Fair, Convention and Congress Center, Beylikdüzü).
The trade fairs ANKIROS/ANNOFER/TURKCAST 2020 (the biggest metallurgy meet-up in Eurasia, supported by leading national and international organizations and associations in the metallurgy sectors) will be held in the same convention center together with the IMMC’2020. This will give the participants a comprehensive overview to the state of the art of the wide range of metallurgy.
Starting from the first congress held in 1975, IMMC has been one of the prominent international conferences in the region in the field of metallurgy, materials science and engineering to promote scientific exchange and cooperation by bringing together different backgrounds and experiences coming from both academia and industry.
I hope this event will serve as an international platform to widen professional contact and create new opportunities, including establishing new collaborations.
I wish you a scientifically rewarding and a pleasurable experience in Istanbul.

All contributions must be original and should not have been published elsewhere. All submissions will be peer-reviewed.
The authors first should submit a short abstract (max. 500 words) and information requested by filling the form given in this page, till March 27th 2020. Then, the authors will get a message about submission of the final text in the form of either “extended abstract (1 page)” or “full manuscript (4 page)”.
Extended Abstract (1 page): DOI number will not be given and will not be published in scientific journals, will only take place in the Congress Proceedings e-book.
Full Manuscript (4 pages): A DOI number will be given, will also take place in the Congress Proceedings e-book and the selected ones will be sent for publication in journals).

Istanbul, a fascinating city built on two continents, divided by the Bosphorus Strait, a modern western city combined with a traditional eastern city.
With its famous historical monuments and magnificent natural beauties, Istanbul is one of the greatest and the most visited cities in the world.
Istanbul has an ancient and diverse history as a meeting point between East and West, Asia and Europe. With its 8500-year history, the city has been the center of numerous civilizations, cultures and international trade throughout history. Since the Neolithic period, inhabited on the ancient trade routes and the city was successively the capital of the Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.
From the foundation of Byzantium in the 7th century BC until today, Istanbul held always an important role in the history of humanity. Everybody wanted to gain control of this area because of its strategic location; Empires were born here on the ashes of previous ones, to rule the Old World. Even Napoleon Bonaparte once said: “If the world were a single state Istanbul would be it’s capital.”
The rich multi-layered cultural heritage from it’s history, makes the city a melting pot of many civilizations and different people, and a source of inspiration for its traditional crafts, forms of production and innovative design ideas.
Istanbul is massively rich in cultural heritage, and the historic peninsula of the city is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Istanbul also carried out the Presidency of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG-MEWA) for three terms and recieved the title of European Capital of Culture.
Hagia Sophia (Ayasofya) is the one of the most visited museums and most prominent monuments in the world in terms of art and the history of architecture.
It has also been called “the eighth wonder of the world” by East Roman Philon as far back as the 6th century.

GEZİ PROGRAMIMIZ
Sabah 9:00 otelden çıkış.
Kapalıçarşı ve bölgenin ziyaret edilmesi, kuyumcular, kumaşçılar, hediyelik eşya dükkânları, çini deposu, antikacılar ve tarihi bir güzergahtan MISIR ÇARŞISINA geçiş ve ziyaret.
Saat 13:00, Türk mutfağıyla ünlü Hamdi Restaurant’ta öğle yemeği.
BALAT GEZİSİ, Balat sokakları gezisi, Rum ve Ermeni kiliseleri, Moğolların Meryem’i kilisesi ve Dimitri Kantemir müzesi bahçesinde çay kahve molası, Fener Rum Patrikhanesi ve Balat Bulgar Kilisesi, Kızıl Mektep gezileri yapılacaktır.
17:00 civarı araçlar ile otele dönüş.
