SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
FOR SUPERCARS
STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
1.1 EVENT TITLE, DATE & VENUE
1.1.1 The Event will be known as the “FORMULA 1® ROLEX AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX”
(hereinafter referred to as “the Event”), which will also comprise races 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the
2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship (“the VCS”), and be held at the Albert Park
Grand Prix Circuit, Melbourne, Victoria from 14 to 17 March 2019.
1.2 ORGANISATION & STATUS
1.2.1 The Event will be held under the FIA International Sporting Code including Appendices, the
Supercars Operations Manual (“the Rules”), and any applicable National Competition Rules
of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS) which are not in conflict with the
Rules, the Supplementary Regulations, any Further Supplementary Regulations or
instructions and any Bulletins issued.
1.2.2 Event Status: Restricted International.

ADMINISTRATION
2.1 ENTRIES
2.1.1 Competitors must have completed the 2019 Supercars Entry Registration Form.
2.1.2 Administration checking will commence at 0900hrs (AEDT) on Wednesday 13th March
2019.
2.1.3 Any Competitors that need to change or add any details contained in their 2019 Entry
Registration Form must do so at the Supercars Operations Transporter prior to the
commencement of the Competitor’s Authorised Representatives and Driver’s Briefing
on Thursday 14 March 2019.
2.1.4 No change of Drivers will be accepted later than 0915hrs (AEDT) on Thursday 14th March
2019 unless exceptional circumstances, as determined by the Stewards, warrant a change
after that time.
2.2 CONDITIONS OF THE EVENT (FORMULA 1 PRECEDENCE)
2.2.1 The VCS is part of the Event hosting a round of the FIA Formula 1® World Championship
2019. Formula 1® activities will have priority over Supercars for the whole of the Event.

2.2.2 The Promoter reserves the right to postpone, abandon or cancel the Event or any part of it
in accordance with NCR 59. In the case of abandonment or cancellation of the whole of the
Event, all entry fees will be refunded in full but no other amounts will be payable by the
Promoter.
2.2.3 The Organiser and Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Event is
conducted as planned, however, the schedule of the Event may be varied at the Organiser’s
or the Promoter’s absolute discretion.
2.2.4 Any variations that may occur to the Event schedule will be notified to Supercars as soon
as practicable. Such variations will be considered final and will not be subject to protest.
2.2.5 Any Competitor, Driver or Team member who is not in the correct place at the required time
may miss their participation in the Event.
2.2.6 Fines of no less than $10,000 may be imposed on any Team or Driver which actively
disrupts Formula 1 activities.
OPERATIONS
3.1 ACCESS TO PADDOCK
3.1.1 The set-up of the Supercars paddock will be at the discretion of Supercars Paddock
Manager or their delegate.
3.1.2 No passenger vehicles are to enter the Supercars Paddock at any time.
3.1.3 Transporters must not enter the Supercars Paddock prior to 0830hrs (AEDT) on Tuesday
12th March 2019 and all movements must be with the prior approval of the Supercars
Paddock Manager or their delegate.
3.1.3.1 All Team transporters must be parked up in their allocated position by 1030hrs
(AEDT) on Tuesday 12th March 2019 in order for pro-floor to be installed adjacent
to Transporters.
3.1.3.2 Teams will be permitted to unload transporters from 1300hrs (AEDT) on Tuesday
12th March 2019.
3.1.4 Transporters must not be washed in the paddock.
3.2 ACCREDITATION CARDS (PASSES) & TEAM PARKING
3.2.1 Only the following 2019 Supercars Accreditation Cards will be recognised by the Promoter
– VIP, Access All Areas, Team Pass and Hall of Fame passes.
3.2.2 Accreditation will be required from Tuesday 12th March 2019.
3.2.3 The Promoter will issue Teams the following car park passes for the Event.
3.2.3.1 2 Car Teams – 3 x internal car park and 6 x external car park.
3.2.3.2 1 Car Teams – 2 x internal car park and 3 x external car park.
3.2.4 Cars with internal car park passes must be parked in the ‘A’ Main Services Car Park,
located in the outfield at turn 16, Driver’s left. The cars with external car park passes must
be parked in the Competitors Car Park, located adjacent to Lakeside Driver near Gate 10.

3.2.5 Your use of the Supercars credential pass to enter and be present at the 2019 Formula 1®
Rolex Australian Grand Prix (Event) is subject to the Attendance Conditions (attached to
this document, displayed at entrances to the Event and published at
www.grandprix.com.au), the Credential Conditions for the Event (available from credentials
office), the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 (Vic), regulations made under that Act and any
further conditions set out below. You are reminded that the pass is strictly non-transferable
and your presence at the Event is at the discretion of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation,
who may withdraw or confiscate it at any time without prior notice.
3.3 ACCREDITATION CENTRE OPENING HOURS
3.3.1 The AGPC motorsport accreditation office is located at Gate 10, accessible off Fitzroy
Street, onto Lakeside Drive, then left onto Village Green Drive. The entrance to the office
is on the first left, upon turning on to Village Green Drive.
3.3.2 The Accreditation centre will be open at the following times (AEDT):
3.3.2.1 Monday 11th March 0800 – 1800
3.3.2.2 Tuesday 12th March 0730 – 1800
3.3.2.3 Wednesday 13th March 0630 – 1800
3.3.2.4 Thursday 14th March 0630 – 1800
3.3.2.5 Friday 15th March 0700 - Noon
3.4 RACE TRACK WALK
3.4.1 Teams are permitted to undertake their Race Track walk on Wednesday 13th March only
between 1515hrs and 1700hrs.
3.4.2 The end time of 1700hrs must be strictly adhered to as track activity will resume
immediately after the Race Track walk.
3.4.3 All Team personnel participating in the Race Track walk must not use a vehicle of any kind
including scooters and buggies.
3.5 EVENT GATE ACCESS TIMES FOR TEAMS
3.5.1 Supercars Series Accreditation as per Supplementary Regulation 3.2 will permit Team
access to the Circuit and VCS Paddock through Gate 10 from 0730hrs daily (AEDT):
3.5.1.1 Team personnel and/or guests only in possession of AGPC General Admission
tickets will not be permitted access to the Event outside the General Public
Admission hours of 0945hrs and 2000hrs (AEDT).
3.6 GOLF BUGGIES
3.6.1 All golf buggies must be road registered.
3.6.2 Upon request to Motorsport Operations, each Team will be entitled to one (1) buggy pass.
3.6.3 No buggy movements are permitted at any time between the rear of transporters and Team
Garages.
3.7 STORAGE
3.7.1 Fuel drums are not permitted to be stored directly next to each other.
3.7.2 It is not permitted to store anything under the stairs that lead up to the corporate facilities
above the Pit Lane.
3.7.3 Due to limited space in the Supercars paddock, no roll cabs or travel cases etc; are
permitted to be stored in the Supercars Paddock.

3.8 DEMOBILISATION AFTER THE EVENT
3.8.1 Unless otherwise advised by the Supercars Paddock Manager or their delegate, no Team
transporter will be permitted to move from its allocated position or leave the Supercars
paddock prior to 2100hrs (AEDT) on Sunday 17th March 2019.
3.8.2 Details of the Supercars Paddock demobilisation and Transporter departure after the Event,
will be in accordance with the instructions issued to Teams under separate cover by the
Supercars Paddock Manager.
SPECIFIC CIRCUIT SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
4.1 MEDICAL SERVICES
4.1.1 The Medical Centre is located on the road between the paddock and the catering structure
and will be operational during the following times (AEDT):
4.1.1.1 Wednesday 13th March 0900 – 1700
4.1.1.2 Thursday 14th March 0900 – 2100
4.1.1.3 Friday 15th March 0900 – 2100
4.1.1.4 Saturday 16th March 0900 – 2100
4.1.1.5 Sunday 17th March 0900 – 2100
4.1.2 Any medical assistance that is required outside of the operating hours outlined in 4.1.1,
please contact 000. The address to give to Emergency Services is:
“Your Specific Location” e.g.: Supercars Paddock, Oval 13, Albert Park, Victoria.
4.2 PIT GARAGE STRUCTURE
4.2.1 Teams are not permitted to modify the bracing (if applicable) at the rear of the Pit Garage
structure in anyway as it weakens the structure.
4.2.2 Teams are only permitted to use the 4 x 10amp power connections provided. Any
connections to other sources will be cut off.

4.7 CARE FOR PARKLANDS
4.7.1 Competitors are advised that the area used for the Event comprises public parkland for the
remainder of the year and all Competitors, support personnel and any associated personnel
shall comply with the Parks Victoria Site Induction Handbook which has been drawn up for
the use of this area.
4.7.2 A current copy of the Parks Victoria Site Induction Handbook is attached to these
regulations.
4.7.3 Teams are advised that the main points from the Site Induction Handbook include:
4.7.3.1 No trees may be pruned or damaged by users of the area - accidental damage
must be reported to the National Race Paddock Manager as soon as possible.
4.7.3.2 The ground surface and grassed areas must not be damaged by users of the
area - again, any damage must be reported to the National Race Paddock
Manager.
4.7.3.3 No open fires may be lit at Albert Park.
4.7.3.4 All rubbish and refuse (including fuels and oils) shall be placed in suitable
containers, or removed from Albert Park.
4.7.3.5 Any Team identified as dropping oil, fuels, or other contaminants on the ground
or into the drainage system will be held responsible for any costs associated with
decontamination of the area affected.
4.7.3.6 No rubbish or refuse shall be disposed of in such a manner as to allow it to end
up in the drainage system or the lake.
4.7.3.7 All materials and equipment shall be stored so as to prevent damage to the site
and minimise hazards to persons, materials, and equipment.
4.7.3.8 All users must comply with water restrictions in force in Melbourne if applicable.
Statutory fines may apply if these are not followed.
4.8 HEALTH AND SAFETY
4.8.1 In line with the Victorian Health and Safety Act, the Supercars Paddock will be a smoke-
free zone for the duration of the Event.
4.9 BICYCLES
4.9.1 Only credential holders will be permitted to bring bicycles onto site. Security will be advised
of this.
4.9.2 Any person riding a bike on site must adhere to the following:
4.9.2.1 Helmets to be worn and fastened at all times when riding;
4.9.2.2 10km/h speed limit is not to be exceeded;
4.9.2.3 As per any other mode of transport, back of house roads should be used to move
around the site. Front of house areas, heavily congested patron areas and the
pontoon are to be avoided. Be aware that large vehicles, machinery and plant
equipment also use these roads, so be cautious;
4.9.2.4 If using the bike at night, lights (front and rear) are required and the cyclist should
be wearing a high vis vest;
4.9.2.5 If using a bike on site, please ensure bikes are secured/chained up when being
left, even if it is for a short period of time. Patrons should not have access to these
bikes;
4.9.2.6 All road rules apply.

4.10 UNMANNED AERIAL VEHICLES (UAV) PROHIBITION
4.10.1 Be advised that the use (operation) of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, or other
similar devices, by any Competitor, Team, Team member or person/s associated with a
Team or Competitor is prohibited.
4.10.2 This prohibition extends for the period of the Event defined as the Event period over the
Event area defined as the Event area.
4.10.3 It also includes the prohibition of the use (operation) of any unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV),
drone or similar device from outside the declared area of the Event over the declared area
during the Event period.
4.10.4 A breach of this prohibition will result in disqualification from the Event for any offending
Competitor and or Team and Driver/s. All credentials or admission tickets issued to any
offending Competitor or Team, and associated personnel will also be withdrawn.
4.10.5 The prohibition and Penalty for a breach of same as outlined above, is in addition to any
Penalty/Penalties that may occur as a result of breaching Civil Aviation Authority (CASA)
regulations in relation to the use of UAVs in controlled airspace, and over areas containing
significant numbers of people.
SPORTING
5.1 MARKINGS ON CARS
5.1.1 Delete reference 8. in Schedule E1 Markings on Cars in its entirety and replace with the
below:

5.2 TYRE FITTING, ALLOCATION AND USAGE
5.2.1 Control tyre fitting will commence from 0900hrs (AEDT) on Wednesday 13th March 2019
in the Dunlop facility located in the Supercars paddock.
5.2.2 Teams undertaking Event rides are permitted to use an additional four (4) 2019 soft Control
Tyres during the Event ride session only.
5.2.2.1 These tyres must be marked by Dunlop prior to the Event ride session.
5.2.2.2 These tyres are in addition to the Event tyre allocation.
5.3 EVENT OPERATING HOURS
5.3.1 The Event operating hours (AEDT) for the purpose of Rule E2 are as follows:
5.3.1.1 Thursday 14th March 0945 – 2000
5.3.1.2 Friday 15th March 0945 – 2000
5.3.1.3 Saturday 16th March 0945 – 2000
5.3.1.4 Sunday 17th March 0945 – after VCS Race 6
5.3.2 During all Formula 1® on track sessions, the front doors of each garage must be closed
until the last Formula 1 car has received the chequered flag.

5.3.3 Team garages are required to be open with unbranded tensa barriers in position for the
following Pit Lane walk sessions:

5.3.4 Pit Stop Practice is only permitted in accordance with the sessions highlighted in Chapter
8 – Event Schedule. Unbranded Tensa barriers to be in position as a crowd barrier.
5.4 BRIEFINGS
5.4.1 A briefing for all Competitor’s Authorised Representatives and Drivers will be held at
0915hrs (AEDT) on Thursday 14th March 2019 in the Supercars Trackside Lounge, located
above the Supercars Pit Garages.
5.5 DRIVER CONDITIONS POLICY
5.5.1 In accordance with Rule D3.4.4, the nearest Town or City to the Circuit, as listed by the
Bureau of Meteorology is Melbourne:

5.6 PIT LANE MARKINGS
5.6.1 Teams in Garage 29 and 30 are permitted to enter their Pit Bays to the right of the cone
located at Pit Lane Entry. All other Cars must pass to the left of the cone.
5.7 PIT STOP BAY
5.7.1 For this Event, and in accordance with Rule D11.5.8.2, a Teams Pit Bay is required to be
located in the following position:
5.7.1.1 The outside edge of the race tape marking the left-hand side line of the pit box is
not permitted to be greater than 4.0m from the edge of the Pit Building upright.
5.8 FRONT BRAKE ROTORS
5.8.1 Only marked sets of front discs are permitted at this Event.
5.8.2 All marked front discs count towards Rule D19.1.
5.9 PRACTICE
5.9.1 For this Event, all practice Sessions will be time certain.
5.10 QUALIFYING
5.10.1 For this Event, delete Rule D6.1.3.2 a) in its entirety and replace with the following:
D6.1.3.2 a) Each Qualifying session will be time certain, except in extreme circumstances
as determined by the Stewards, in which case the session may be extended.

5.11 START PROCEDURE
5.11.1 The Start Procedure will be in accordance with Rule D8.4 Specific Prescriptions – 15
minute Start Procedure.
5.12 SAFETY CAR PROCEDURE
5.12.1 For this Event, delete Rule D10.2.13 in its entirety and replace with the following:
D10.2.13 Prior to the lead Car crossing the Control Line at the end of a SC deployment,
or on the restart lap, any Car that is two (2) or more laps behind the lead Car
must reposition itself by driving through the Pit Lane so that it is not in front of
any Car that is less than two (2) laps behind the lead Car.
D10.2.13.1 Should the SC be deployed eight (8) laps or less from the last
lap of a race , or ten (10) minutes prior to the time certain finish
time of a race as published in the Supplementary Regulations,
any Car that is one (1) or more laps behind the leader must
reposition itself by driving through the Pit Lane so that it is not in
front of any Car that is on the lead lap.
5.13 PIT STOPS
5.13.1 For this Event, delete Rule D11.8.8 in its entirety and replace with the following:
D11.8.8 During any Pit Stop, from the time the Car leaves the ground until the time the
Car has returned to the ground, the brake lock mechanism must be engaged
so as the rear wheels do not rotate without the prior approval of the HoM.
D11.8.8.1 Where the HoM grants such approval, the rear wheels must stop
rotating prior to the Car being lowered to the ground. For the
sake of clarity, the rear wheels must not be rotating while the
Car is being lowered to the ground.
D11.8.8.2 During any Pit Stop, a slight movement of the rear wheels will
not, at the sole discretion of the HoM, constitute the rear wheels
rotating.
5.14 PADDOCK - SIGNAGE
5.14.1 The Promoter has granted permission for Teams to display flags on transporters, however,
the Promoter may, at its discretion, request their removal at any time during the Event.
5.14.2 Teams are not permitted to display their own café style tensa barriers behind their garages.
The AGPC will provide generic barriers for Teams to use.
5.15 PIT LANE EQUIPMENT - SIGNAGE
5.15.1 All Teams must either have removed or covered up all Pit Lane equipment signage at all
times during the Event.
5.15.2 Teams will be permitted boom signage as follows:
5.15.2.1 A height of 300mm (H) maximum;
5.15.2.2 Only black or white is permitted as the background colour;
5.15.2.3 Only the car number is permitted to be displayed, in a colour of the Teams choice.

5.16 PIT CREW ACCESS ON GRID
5.16.1 Tyre equipment will be permitted in the Formula 1 Pit Lane, as advised over RMC.
5.16.2 During the Start Procedure, each Team will be permitted a maximum two (2) Team
personnel for each Car.
5.17 SIGNALLING WALL
5.17.1 There is no provision for a signalling wall in the Supercars Pit lane, if Teams need to use a
signalling wall during a Session they are permitted to do so from the Formula 1 Pit Lane
signalling wall.
TECHNICAL
6.1 SCRUTINEERING
6.1.1 Scrutineering will commence at 0830hrs (AEDT) on Thursday 14th March 2019.
6.2 OTHER BRAKE SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
6.2.1 For this Event, delete C11.4 Other Brake System Requirements in its entirety and replace
with the following:
C11.4 Other Brake System Requirements
C11.4.1 The fitment of a brake lock mechanism consisting of a hydraulic solenoid valve
that when operational locks the rear wheels is mandatory. The operation of
the brake lock mechanism must only be by an on/off switch.
C11.4.1.1 A cable or hydraulically operated handbrake system is permitted
as a brake lock mechanism with the prior approval of the HoM.
If in operation it must only be located and operated by a lever
located on either side of the Driver’s seat.
C11.4.1.2 In addition to Rule C11.4.1 the fitment of a brake lock
mechanism consisting of a hydraulic solenoid valve that when
operational locks the front wheels is optional. The operation of
the brake lock mechanism must only be by an on/off switch.
C11.4.2 The brake lock mechanism is only permitted to be used to stop the Car rolling
from a standing start. The Operation of the brake lock mechanism cannot be
automated in any manner and must be operated by the Driver as detailed in
Rule C11.4.1.
C11.4.2.1 The brake lock mechanism if fitted, must be manually engaged
during a pit stop for the sole purpose of stopping the rear wheels
from turning during that stop. The disengagement of the brake
lock mechanism at the end of a pit stop must be automated. The
automation logic and any subsequent revisions must be
approved by the HoM.
C11.4.2.2 Use of the brake lock mechanism in any situation/environment
other than Rule C11.4.2 and Rule C11.4.2.1 is not permitted.
C11.4.3 The braking system pressure in both front calipers must remain equal at all
times.

C11.4.4 The control pedal box provides a system, which allows the brake balance of
a Car to be adjusted manually by the Driver. The force required to make such
an adjustment must be generated and controlled by the Driver, seated
normally in the Car with the safety harness correctly fastened.
6.3 TELEMETRY
6.3.1 At this Event, delete the following line item in its entirety from Schedule C1.11 Telemetry
and replace with the following:

MARKETING
7.1 PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
7.1.1 Teams must adhere to the activities outlined in the promotional schedule and/or any
subsequent updates as provided by the Supercars Media and Promotions Department.
7.1.2 Strictly no champagne is to be sprayed on the Formula One podium structure, i.e. no
spraying backwards, face champagne towards Pit Lane.
7.2 GRID WALK
7.2.1 Grid walks are not permitted at this Event.
7.3 ACCESS TO CORPORATE FACILITIES
7.3.1 Drivers and Team PR personnel that need to access the corporate facilities at the Event
are to request the visitor access pass each suite has in their possession.
7.4 PROMOTIONAL STAFF
7.4.1 Promotional staff are not permitted within Albert Park (being the declared area and
designated access areas as defined under the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 (Vic)) by or
on behalf of any of the Teams or their commercial partners at any time during the period of
the Event without the prior written agreement of the Promoter.
7.5 MERCHANDISING
7.5.1 No goods or merchandise of any kind may be brought, sold, advertised, displayed,
distributed or promoted within Albert Park (being the declared area and designated access
areas as defined under the Australian Grands Prix Act 1994 (Vic)) by or on behalf of any of
the Teams at any time during the period of the Event without the prior written agreement of
the Promoter.
